This brush is glorious! How did I go so long without this magical tool? My story starts with my Very long haired bicolor Persian, Sunday the cat. I've always been fond of the greyhound medium course comb, which I very strongly still recommend for anyone with an long haired cat, however somehow in the last week and a half ours disappeared. I'm going to take s wild guess and say my three year old probably had a small portion to do with it's mysterious disappearance. I looked high and low locally at all the placed that would have one normall and I couldn't find one anywhere so ended up on trusty ole amazon. I somehow stumbled upon this comb snd decided ton order it at the same time as my new greyhound comb. Let me tell you this thing works through tight knots like nothing I have ever seen. It makes getting knots that normally would need to get shaved or cut out no big deal! That's a pretty huge deal! After not being groomed for nearly a week a Persian gets pretty knotted up and this knocked grooming out in no time! As an added bonus Sunday loves the new rake! I'll definitely be suggesting this handy tool for a years to come! My only complaint is that I wish I eoukdnahve found it sooner!

I saw a friend post about this and how well it worked on her Old English Sheepdog, and thought I'd get one for my doodle (Australian shepherd/poodle mix). This works so well with brushing my dog's ears (they have long, curly hair that is prone to matting) and tail, as well as for trying to brush out mats that are just forming. The rolling pins really help it from grabbing the fur and hurting your pet like a regular rake can. It doesn't have any blades to it, like another mat tool I have, so it's safer for a quick brush out.

My dog has long hair and an under coat this pet rake works pretty well to get the under coat out without pulling his hair. I do wish I could find a larger pet rake like this one. The tines in the brush kind of spin while brushing the dog, I guess that somehow does not pull his hair as bad as a rake with out the spinning tines.

My cat was a senior who came to me with mats in her fur. This brush helped me get them out without hurting her. Unfortunately I do think she needed more training because she didn’t like metals sounds of the rotating teeth.

This sturdy brush is easy on my dogs tangles such that she does not object to brushing and detangling. No need to press down and press the brush tines into her skin, which she does not like. Seem it works for use because we make several passes into the trouble areas and carefully keep after her appearance and ridding her of those irritating tangle.

Our Vet used one of these to remove a stubborn mat in the fur of one or our pets. It worked perfectly so we ordered one to have at home.

It's not a sturdy brush. I was comparing this to another when I purchased this. I wish I would have gone with the other. It feels cheap. It feels like the rake will break easily. I have long haired dogs so I don't use it.
