December 3, 2021 update: I finally took this out of the closest I had it sitting in with the idea of using it with some microsd cards late at night (with say nature or classical or jazz .. even audiobooks maybe) .. but I ran into an issue with that idea ... even if i lower the volume down a bit, it A) still seems VERY LOUD for this use-case ... worse ... it always turns on AT FULL VOLUME it seems ... you REALLY need to be able to control the volume better than this.The Buzzing that I MAY hear on other Bluetooth speakers from DOSS, Oontz, and Tribit but only with no music and when i nearly put those speakers up to my ear, is loud with this speaker... like a buzzing right over anything you are listening to.... the controls are backwards (press and hold vs press fast to change volume or tracks... but ... i COULD live with this) ... the steps between the volumes are too big ... if you need a LOUD speaker than this may be for you, but I find even the lowest setting (when i can get to it) is still really loud for say a bedroom at night watching something.The sound quality .... WITHOUT the buzzing I mentioned again .... would be a 4.5 to a 5 out of 5 ... I love the sound quality ... but ... I cant recommend this speaker due to the "silly" issues I keep having with it ... it's so close to being great ... take out the buzzing when things (mainly with BT but also with 3.5mm devices ) are connected and give better control over the volume and ... this may get a 4.5 out of 5 from me.----------------------June 3, 2021 update (slimmed down): the speaker though i rarely use it due to the problems i mentioned ... I still think it has GREAT sound quality and while i was coming here to update my review i see it on sale for $9.99 .... near $20 i'd say put in a few $$ more and get a better option ... for $9.99 ... eh it's worth a shot.Anyway something that I noticed ... for a BT speaker that buzzing/almost sounds like it D/C's in the middle of a pause in the audio (note: it DOESN'T but it sounds like it does) is really annoying and the sound QUALITY is what keeps me from having a lower opinion of this speaker.----------------PROS:Sound Quality - I still give these a 9.5 out of 10. I think the sound is GREAT ... it's a very balanced sound. The Base for example is very good, and dont get me wrong, balanced doesn't mean it's not good on base, just unlike some speakers or bluetooth headphones have extra base that "muddys up" the mids and highs. My point is just that all three phases of the music sound clear and crisp to me.--------------------------------------------------------CONS:Sound Volume - Here is where there is a problem I didn't notice before when I did my prior review. For the most part it's ok but there are two issues:- Volume "steps" - like I said before the steps between each step (say on a stereo "volume at first notch, volume at the second notch up", etc etc) is a decent change... this means fine-tuning the volume level on some devices that do not have volume controls, on the device itself ... say the Firestick, can be an issue ... one level is too low and the next is too loud. This being an issue is totally based on your use case, but it should be noted ... My advice (I cant find any LFS contact info to tell them if the company still exists) would be to have MORE levels and have less of a .. say decibel gap between each level for better fine-tuning.- Low Volume issues - One issue I have noticed trying to use this by my bed at night to listen to jazz or whatever is that there is a buzzing/electrical like hum at the say the lowest two volume levels that in some cases seems louder than the music itself. It's very annoying and now that I have a pair of Bluetooth earbuds, a few BT headphones and was given a second (different brand) BT speaker ... NONE of them have this issue. And to be clear this happens no matter what the LFS speaker is paired with ... a laptop, a rasp. Pi, a BT transmitter hooked up to a TV, and a Firestick ,... all of them + this speaker has that humm/buzzing at low volumes, though once the volume hits a certain level you dont notice it.Another issue I have had is a connection issue, at the lower volumes. The speaker does stay connected/paired with the device but if there is a pause in the audio there seems to be a pause (noting that that buzzing DOES go away for that pause) before the audio is back... when listening to lectures from The Teaching Company, this issue leads to somewhat awkward sounding pauses, where it sounds like the professor is pausing right in the middle of a sentence but ... in an awkward way.Sometimes when the audio came back the professor would be half way through the word he/she was saying ... i knew what they said but the effect is awkward. For the record this also really happens with light jazz and/or classical music too .... it sounds like the speaker "disconnects" when it thinks there is no audio (again note what I said ... it STAYS PAIRED and STAYS CONNECTED).------------Final Thoughts:I am conflicted … .noting that I only have experience with two speakers, this being one of them I cant say if I recommend this speaker or not… really the Cons can get annoying but even though I only listed that one “Pro” … I do like the speaker … but considering no other speaker has this issue … well my “3 out of 5” review is really a 3.5 out of 5. The Sound quality is AMAZING to me for the price point … very balanced. That buzzing is not an issue if you don’t listen to it at lower volumes, but with some genres, that “disconnect + pause before audio starts playing again” type issue as the second Con can be a big issue and it is annoying … instead of getting rid of my speaker, I am thinking of pairing it with my TV instead … as a DIFFERENT use-case than I first intended. My TV speakers are REALLY BAD .. they sound like the audio is coming from a cabinet under the TV or something, but if I use the BT transmitter and this speaker (yes I have to charge both of these items) … well then I can use the speaker and not really find it as annoying, using a different speaker I have at night for the audiobooks, leactures, and say Classical/Jazz listeningSorry for the confusion but I cant say “yes I recommend this speaker” at the same time I can’t bring myself to say “avoid this model” … if I had more experience with other speakers, and they all had the same sound, with the Cons of this model, I’d feel better saying “go with another model”

Very impressed with the audio quality coming out of this little dynamo! I didn't expect such a full rich and loud sound from such a tiny source.... .and the bass, oh boy, the bass is there, deep and always right.I bought this speaker for the pool and the beach, but It sounds so good that I also used it in the car and the office all the time . I'm buying another one!PROS: Very easy to pair, letting you know when the connection has been established. Loud and rich sound with excellent bass when use indoors and outdoors. Feels nice and solid and quality built - very good looking speaker. Compact and easy to carry. Outstanding battery life and BT range. Slot for a TF card. included as well as the 2 cables and a hanging cord. To me it is worth much more $ than the asking price. I just love the way it sounds.CONS (none of them affected my decision to purchase and give the product a well deserved 5 stars) No instructions on how to use FM radio, it is included but no indication on how to use it. Black control bottoms are hard to read but easy to learn after few minutes of use. Product is not waterproof but I have used it at the pool and at the beach several times without any problem (no issues with the sand either) I have been careful not to get it wet.Upon your consideration I highly recommend this product.

I bought this with music from my micro SD card in mind. I was hoping the device would function without a hitch, so I took my time to open the box to see if it would work. Lo and behold, it did not work. The micro SD card got stuck inside the device and never played. I can use the Bluetooth paired with my phone, but was very disappointed that I could not play the music direct from my card. Neither was the FM radio working. I hope LFS has a response to help me. Initially, I rated this a two, but I changed the score to a five (see below).Customer service is fantastic! I received help via e-mail and videos. When I did not have a good resolve with my device, LFS sent me a replacement and I now have a perfectly working device. Thank you LFS for the best customer service possible. You have a great little device and now I have one! Smiles all around!

If you like old school classic rock/pop/coubtry/bluegrass, its great!If you like Billie Eilish/Assemblag 43/Black Eyed Peas. It fails to reproduce the 808 electronic bass...can't even begin to handle that kind of load.I use it as a work speaker in a noisy plant, so classical and pretty much anything pre-1995 sounds great. Not bad at all for a $9 speaker!

Mine has problems turning on. Sometimes it takes me 15 times flicking the switch back and forth to turn on. Other that it is awesome.

Battery could be better, as well as Bluetooth, because the signal frequently drops if you broadcast from a phone that you are walking around with, even if you are only walking a few feet away. But as far as sound, this is the best Bluetooth speaker that I have ever owned. Full sound quality and no distortion within your most common listening volume. You probably can't satisfactorily give full sound to a yard party full of people, but this is amazing when I hang it from a branch or hook to listen while doing yard work, grilling or chillin in the hammock.

It is a great and cute little speaker. I am surprised that FM radio is built in even though you can not select a particular channel when you want. You have to keep on pressing + or - buttons and select the channel by the program. Well you can’t expect a channel display for such a low priced item. The sound quality is really good its size and price. The only problem I found apart from fm channel is that when you switch from blue tooth to FM the initial volume is very high. You have to keep pressing the volume down button till it is brought down to comfortable level. I received it yesterday only and already very much impressed with the performance

I had been looking for a bluetooth speaker for a while, just something for the garden to make my music from my phone a bit louder.I wasn't sure what specs I needed or what was best makes etc. I was looking at much more expensive speakers but thought I would give this one a go.Its brilliant! Very loud, clear and definitely has bass! Very powerful - it was vibrating along my garden table! Easy to pair with our phones.I'm not 100% sure how good the battery life is. I used it for 3 hours today and its still working so far. You can charge and use it at the same time too. Highly recommend

This fits in the palm of you hand, quite heavy. It can interface with phone/tablet/computer etc via bluetooth or a supplied 3.5mm jack plug. The sound is much clearer than you might expect, although a bit tight in the midrange, it isn't tinny. It is true stereo. The bass is amazing for a handheld device. It also can take a microSD card .. and apparently has an FM radio built in. There is a carrying lanyard supplied.

One word....WOW!!! Doing some building work in the garden, and my more expensive,well known branded speaker had recently broken. Purchased this new one as the reviews were good, and they said "Good things come in small packages" but i was blown away by the sound quality and bass. Louder than my last speaker, and 5 times cheaper. This speaker certainly packs a punch, and i am more than happy with my purchase. Excellent product and highly reccomended. 5 stars all the way!

Bought this for my van as it only has Bluetooth for telephone calls and not musicI can play music etc from this Bluetooth speaker and when a call comes in, it automatically switches to my built in van Bluetooth and then switches back to this speaker when I'm done with the callWould be great if it was a little louder but I am driving around in a noisy diesel van
