I have several lamp bases that have long "necks" beyond the threaded base, and the 100-watt equivalent LED and CFL bulbs will not fit because the electronics portion gets too wide, too "early" so the bulbs will not screw in far enough to make contact. With these extensions, they fit fine. The extensions are just long enough to accommodate the LED & CFL bulbs, but not so long that they appear to "hang". These were exactly what I needed.

They work but aren't very good quality. When the bulb gets tight when screwing it in, the housing starts to split at the seam. I bought higher quality splitters at Home Depot for cheaper.

There is nothing printed on the extensions; therefore, these are likely NOT UL approved. Also, the manufacturer does not pack these well (just in a plastic bag) and one came crushed. Overall length of the adapter is 2 7/16" long which gives an approximate 1 1/2" extension of the bulb.UPDATE - Seller sent replacement for damaged piece. EXCELLENT seller support/. I raised my stars from three to five based on their support.

Used these to extend my garage door opener sockets just a bit in order to fit new 100W equivalent LED bulbs. The LED bulbs would not originally fit/make contact with the base of the opener socket due to the curvature at the base of the LED bulb, but these did a perfect job of extending it.

Doing what they should, not sure if the light plastic feeling material could handle the heat of a high wattage bulb.I am using them with 10w LED bulbs.although they say led bulbs create little to no heat, the ones I use create heat at the base of the bulb which dissipates through the extensions.

This did exactly what I needed. New LED bulbs are a bit shorter than the older CFL or incandescent bulbs, so they fit too far into recessed lighting fixtures. These adapters lengthen the bulbs enough so they work well. Installing them is as simple as screwing in a light bulb.
