Reptiles & Amphibians of Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan Field Guide

I needed this for school, but this will definitely be useful throughout the future. Great guide for general information on MN reptiles and amphibians. A picture is provided next to the information of the animal.

These field guides are so handy! My little one loved using it to look up the different reptiles and amphibians that we came across while visiting in Wisconsin. We also used the other field guides written by the same author. I highly recommend them all! They have great description and picture for reference.

I love this field guide. I live in Michigan and have had a love of reptiles and amphibians since I was a kid. I've had them as pets and have observed them in their natural habitat with curiosity and fascination. This field guide is incredibly useful with tons of info on everything from frog and toad croaking charts to the status of a certain species (stable, endangered, etc.). On the pages identifying a species, there is a nice color photo on one side and the animal's detailed information on the other side.I don't know what else a person could want in a book like this, To me it's just about perfect and owning it makes me want to get outdoors even more to look for these amazing creatures.

I bought this book after seeing my first Five Lined Skink in Michigan a few months ago and having to do some Googling to find out what it was. I'm 69 years old and spend considerable time outdoors and thought that skink was an escaped pet. I can now see why I have had a certain amount of confusion, particularly when trying to identify frogs, many are very similar. Especially valuable are the maps showing where each species lives, surprisingly, many have quite small living areas. This is a very good guide and I like the size, seems to be very durable construction also.

I got this for my grandson, 9 years old. He loves reading it. It makes clear both how to identify these animals, and how they live. There are fun special features like a chart showing the times of the year when different kinds of frogs are heard. He's already been able to identify a few reptiles he has seen.

Perfect size for carrying, beautiful and helpful pictures as well. Came on time. I'm very happy with it. I definitely recommend.
