Q: How do you get this to work with a mac book air? It's not pulling up anything when I plug both in and try to play a movie.

I collected this device to my computer, my computer can't recognize it and nowhere to find it. I returned it. Not suggest to buy this device.

Replying a bit late here but wanted to set this record straight. The answer to this question is no, you cannot connect this to a USB port on a TV and expect it to work. The TV likely will not have the necessary drivers and software to support this drive and decode a DVD. This drive is intended to be used on a laptop or desktop PC and if using for DVD playback you will need the necessary software to play the disc such as PowerDVD or VLC Player.
