Great quality and perfect for infusions, I use it for fresh mint tea and fresh ginger and lemon.

This is amazing!
I love this mug. It looks small but on testing it holds as much as any of my standard sized mugs. The holes in the strainer are a little big but this allows for a really good infusion! If you are using a cheap tea with small leaf fragments you can simply add the tea to the cup after the water and it stops it all falling through before it expands. The glass is also very fine so if you hate thick rimmed mugs this is perfectAs well as being practical it also looks lovely! I

Mugs great but buying direct from the sellers external website will save you €9 / £9
I'd love to purchase this through Amazon and I have a previous Kinto mug and loved it however the same seller is advertising the mug at €9 / £9 cheaper. It is always useful to compare

Lifting out the strainer
To the reviewer who said it burns your fingers taking out the strainer... If you put the lid on, then this has three dimples that make it a secure enough fit to lift out the strainer along with the lid... So no burnt fingers at all.

Please be aware of what you are buying!
I bought this because it looked good & I thought it would be nice to make a cup of tea for one with tea leaves rather than get the teapot out. It may have looked good but it was totally impractical for my intended use! Firstly, the holes of the infuser are quite big so tea leaves will go through them. It is only useful if you wanted to put mint leaves or fruit pieces in to make mint or fruit tea. Secondly, you have to wait until the hot water is sufficiently cooled before lifting out the infuser otherwise you will burn your fingers! So you have to like the tea very strong as it will infuse for quite a long time before you can lift it out. Thirdly, the cup is smaller than I thought & will only give you a standard tea cup of tea rather than a mug full. I requested a return but the supplier said I couldn't return it because it had been used and they were not sympathetic about the burnt fingers issue, implying that I should have realised that there was no handle on the infuser. Please be aware of these issues before you buy this because if you do want to return it, you will have to return it to Japan! I guess if you just wanted strong mint or fruit tea, then you may like this product. I bought a Bodum one which is much more versatile-strains out tea leaves, has a handle to lift the tea strainer out when you want to and is the size of a mug.
