The base component for polishing
Great compound for polishing wood really starts the polishing process….

Worked well
Many other reviews mention the small size - but the seller does make that clear in the description. I used it to polish my Buck pocket knife and it made a very definite improvement. Even though small I expect it to last a long time as you only need a small amount each time.

Misrepresented, not what you think.
What I was expecting was a normal size bar of buffing compound like I have purchased many times before. They are usually about 6” x 2”In size. This one was tiny, less than the size of my thumb. That’s right, about 2” long, 1/2 inch wide. Totally useless!! I returned it to Amazon for a full refund.

So far it has worked well for me, for polishing the fine-sandblasted surface of a steel ruler.
I've had a 4 inch diameter drill-chuck-mountable cotton buffing wheel for years. I rarely used it for lack of a suitable supply of abrasive. However, having recently sandblasted the tarnished steel ruler of a combination square with 220 mesh corundum media, I've wanted to restore shine to the otherwise-matt-finished surface of that ruler — to make it more readable. The blue-colored (all-purpose) version of this product has worked well for that purpose. See the attached "Before buffing" and “After buffing" photos. I polished the ruler by spinning my abrasive-coated buffing wheel at approximately 1900 RPM in the chuck of a drill press.I've not yet tried this buffing abrasive to polish other substances, such as for polishing plastics (for which it's supposedly suitable). As I gain more experience with this product, I may update this review in the future.

Works good
The item was small but it polished well.

Very fine compound
I read the description of the product before ordering but the diminutive size still surprised me. This is really meant to be used with a small rotary tool, like a Dremel. As far as how it works, it’s very fine and will produce a good shine in softer metals.

Not so sure about this.
This is smaller than my pinky finger. Very hard chuck well. I can't see being able to get this to spread on a buffing wheel. Might have to soak it to soften it up. Overall very questionable at this price
