Snowblower Worm Gear - Compatible With: MTD 717-1425 & 917-1425

Ordered this gear for my front mount snow blower after my original broke into 3 pieces last year. Exact size and part that I needed and worked great. This year had other problems and had to replace again. Reordered same part as before but this time Im hoping that it lasts longer. Not sure if it is the type of material that the gear is made out of or if there may have been other issues that caused the last to fail. But there is no other material that it is made out of that I am aware of. Shipping was fast. Was able to get my snowblower back up and running.

I had an old Montgomery Ward snowblower that I got for free and all it needed was this gear to run (and about 6 hours of work getting the thing apart and back together because keys rusted into ways... Part went in fine and turned great.

Nice heavy duty brass gear, much better than the aluminum gear that was in the gearbox from the factory

I needed this for my older Mtd blower, the part came fast and fits perfectly. I have now ordered a second one for another same model blower that currently is working but has play so I know the gear is also badly worn.
