The size is huge, not something that we are used to seeing around a house. It's heavy too. Note that one needs a large burner to heat the griddle evenly; a normal gas stove is simply not up to the task.

It's perfect for cooking meats

As mentioned in previous review it is a huge monster.Quite thick like the kerala dosa tawa and equally heavy.It needs a burner with a strong flame. Not the material for induction cooking as it won't heat properly on it.The key to using this is to preheat on a slow.flame for Atleast 10mins. Then increase flame and use. Not preheating will keep edges cool while centre will get scorching hot.Has a large surface area and good for bigger dosa.I have used it mostly for breakfast items.like french toast and pancakes. 4 slices of bread fit easily on it. But make sure to rotate slices for even brown colour.Never make egg omelette unless it's an omelette of 6 eggs or more. It's a large surface and the liquids run all.over in map like shapes.The four corners of the griddle are slightly depressed. Oil collects in there as you cook.All in all its a big and beautiful griddle that I mainly use to make my tuffin work faster on the mornings. If that's what you want and have a burner to go with it and some money and energy to expend...it's greatNeeds not much cleaning or prepping except for a light oil face wash before and after cooking.The preseasoned coat us quite effective. Built upon it.

this is not for the ordinary indian housewife. do not buy if you rely on a maid servant. for regular seasoning. its very good though if you know how to use.
