UGREEN USB to Ethemet Adapter, 10/100Mbps Network Adapter (Not for Wii)

I tried a couple of USB Ethernet adapters on an older TCL Roku TV (TCL 40FS3750) before settling on this unit. The chipsets on the other adapters were not recognized by the set. However, this adapter (with chipset AX88772) was instantly recognized when it was plugged in. It appears that this may be the ONLY chipset that TCL Roku TV's will work with (based on other users sharing the same results). Or at least with an older set like mine which is a TCL Series 3. Just make sure to restart your set (SETTINGS>POWER>RESTART) to allow the interface to transition from WiFi & pick up the wired configuration. I was getting adequate speeds on WiFi (24MBps), but was having issues with Sling just freezing & timing out or kicking out completely & then restarting the TV. After much troubleshooting, I was hoping it was b/c of my signal speed/quality. So, since I had the ability to go directly into a wired drop, I decide to try this adapter in hopes that I would get a speed bump as well as eliminate any WiFi bugginess. Interestingly, my wired speeds were only slightly higher (around 27MBps), but this is most likely due to the USB interface (it's USB 3.0 on the TV, but only 2.0 on the adapter). I'm sure there are some other factors at play here as well. The set was never intended to be used with ethernet (only WiFi) so there could be some bottlenecking occurring just due to the aging firmware of the TV. I did have Roku version 9.0 running, but this did not seem to make much difference. Unfortunately, Sling still randomly froze after the installation of this adapter. So I have to speculate the TV itself may be the issue or that there is still not enough bandwidth to accommodate Sling. The adapter itself was not the issue. It was working just as intended. As a comparison, I have no issues running Sling on a TCL Roku TCL 55S401 with INTEGRATED wired ethernet. I get roughly 75MBps to this set (which is also a much faster TV compared to the 40FS3750). So, overall, the adapter did it's job, but the use of it didn't completely solve my particular problem. However, as noted, this was not the adapters fault. So it may still work for you in your setup. For under $12.00 it's definitely worth a shot!

What is this sorcery? Well as others have pointed out this will make a cheap 3 series TCL TV that doesn't have an Ethernet port, well have one. It's not exactly plug and play, but it's not difficult either. Plug this into the USB port, forget all WiFi networks, reset the network connection, reboot, maybe twice, and there you go connected to wired network. I have lots of USB Ethernet adapters, and yea I tried this before, didn't do anything, but this one, this one magically works, must be the only chip they support on the USB port. A Fire Stick adapter does not work, no gigabit adapter I have works, Realtek ones don't work, but this one does, and it works just like the port is built in (mostly), show wired and wireless MACs in the About, supports cloud control, Apple Homekit, all the features of the TCL TV. And it's a whole lot more stable than the iffy WiFi these TVs come with. it's a good thing.

I got this adapter for using a virtual "cloud" PC service to use with my laptop with only Wifi 5. I only have a 100 mb/s internet connection because I don't need any more and why pay for more than I need. Regardless for the service an ethernet connection is much much more stable than wifi 5 and since I only have a 100 mb/s connection this 10/100 USB 2 "fast" ethernet adapter is exactly what I needed....nothing more nothing less. It works very well. It improved both my ping and latency tremendously over my wifi even though my laptop is literally less than a foot away from my router. I have no issue whatsoever with this adapter and it works exactly as it should for it's use case.

It works! But unfortunately they updated the chips and they no longer work on the Wii, I had to return it, but the product works, but you have to consider that if you're looking for it for Wii/Wii U.

Works great, I have one for my Wii, and one for my Switch 2. Works with Switch but I could not get it to work with the Wii U, everything else is good. I do like the indicator lights.

i'm generally a fan of UGREEN these past few years. I've bought a lot of their cables and adapters and they tend to be high quality. That aside, this purchase was still a gamble, as whether or not it's high quality is a separate matter from whether the Wii supports the particular chipset in this adapter. I saw one or two reviews that said it would work, but sometimes people are just... wrong. I'm glad to say that it does indeed work. Should work on the Wii U and Switch as well (did not test on those, but I have another 100mbps adapter that works with the Wii U and the Switch and they don't support that many chipsets), although the Switch also supports faster (1gbps instead of 100mbps) adapters, so don't buy this just to use with the Switch. I used an Amazon Basics Cat6 ethernet cable and a TP-Link 8-port unmanaged gigabit switch which go to a Netgear R6220 router and so on. None of that matters, but maybe the info would comfort someone. The Wii is particularly picky about Wi-Fi, not supporting a lot of modern stuff, so being able to use a wired connection is just a lot simpler than having separate Wi-Fi with worse security just to cater to an old console.

I bought this as an accessory for the Nintendo Switch and I don't regret it one bit! I plugged it in and within seconds the wired connection symbol appeared on the top of the home screen for the Switch. I bought this in preparation for the Mario Odyssey game since I bought the digital edition. The download for Mario Odyssey was roughly 5-6 gb and the file downloaded in about 10-15 minutes. I also downloaded Splatoon 2 in the past before I got this useful adapter and the file size on that was about 3 gb. It took about an hour to download it on a wireless connection. So I already have noticed a huge difference when it comes to downloads. As I waited for Mario Odyssey to release, I played some Splatoon 2 multiplayer and it was an amazing transition! There was absolutely no lag or disconnection in the 2-3 hours I played. So this accessory improves both download speeds and connection to multiplayer games. If you have the Switch and you play a lot of games using the dock (it only works in the dock since the accessory plugs into a USB port on the dock), I recommend this product. It has improved my experience and I am able to enjoy the console even more than before. Remember, however, that this accessory also depends on a decent internet provider so check your provider's speeds and rates before considering. I happen to have a 1 gigabit download and 0.8 gigabit upload maximum with my provider so this product was perfect for my connection. Also remember that the Switch along with the product tops out under 100 mbp, so it isn't freakishly fast but it is noticeably and significantly faster.

Got this to hardwire my Switch for gaming and it connected instantly with zero setup needed. My ping dropped noticeably and I stopped having random disconnects in the middle of matches which was the whole reason I bought it. The indicator lights are a nice touch so you can actually see it is active and working. Compatible with pretty much everything and the price is totally reasonable.

La mogliettina mi regala (su mia indicazione :-) ) un mini pc (Komu) a cui manca la porta Ethernet, ho acquistato questo oggetto per evitare di utilizzare il wifi. Dire che la spedizione di Amazon è veloce oramai non fa notizia: ordinato il pomeriggio, arrivato a mezzogiorno del giorno dopo! Imballo sempre perfetto, scatola completamente sigillata. Nella confezione ho trovato il libretto di istruzioni, modulino di garanzia, un mini cd con i drivers (che non ho utilizzato) ed ovviamente il convertitore usb-Ethernet. La chicca è stato trovare il tappino di protezione in plastica sulla spinetta USB. Collegato prima ad un pc con windows8 e poi ad uno con windows10, pochi secondi per riconoscere la periferica e via, già pronta all'uso. Non c'è nulla da spiegare sul funzionamento, si tratta semplicemente di una porta Ethernet, ho collegato il mio cavo e subito il mini pc era connesso alla rete. Prodotto dall'ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Ho addirittura ricevuto una mail dal venditore che mi ringraziava per l'acquisto e mi sollecitava a contattarli qualora vi fossero stati problemi con la periferica o se avessi avuto bisogno di aiuto. Conector para red RJ45 a USB 2.0. Funciona perfectamente, se configura enseguida y no da problemas; que es lo que pides a este tipo de aparatos. Llevo funcionando a diario con él desde hace más de 2 meses y funciona perfectamente, sin caídas ni cosas raras; lo tendría que haber comprado antes.
