Smarteefi 3 in 1 Smart Plug, Works With Alexa, WiFi Enabled, Smart Home Automation, Control from Anywhere (Android/IOS), Timer socket, Timer Switch, Spike Buster/Surge Protector, 1 Year Warranty I am dividing my review in parts to better understand this product its features and ease of application! What is this? This works exactly like your normal spike strip but a very smart one, this device lets you control any max 5A (110-240V @ 50-60 HZ max home appliances) Remotely using Andrioid or iOS device and also works with amazons Alexa voice control . Manufacturer Packaging and spike strip quality : The package could have been better considering this is selling online but none the less its satisfactory , The plastic material used on the product is of very good quality and can withstand daily wear and tear but the manufacturer hasn't really given full attention to Details Example : the on off switch feels a little flimsy but that wouldn't matter as we will e controlling the device using wifi anyways . Ease of Setup: Setting up this Device was a breeze and very streamlined , Just follow the setup instructions and will set it up in no time, it took me roughly 10 mins to add the Device to my wifi network and rename the devices connected to it and it was ready to go. *Android app works seamlessly *setup complete in just first attempt and is pretty straight forward. *Remote access works great even with heavy internal firewall and no VPN is needed as the device gets added to the Smarteefi cloud server. *Timers and settings on the APP is straight forward and easy. *Hardware Level Maintenance mode switch is very convenient as you dont have to reset it or press multiple buttons to get into the pairing mode Why this Vs other smart plugs available? For starters most of the smart plugs available in the market are single plugs and will cost 3-4 times more than this as this has 3 smart plugs built in and to top it off its Made in INDIA. Usage and setup testing: * Easy app settings and connected to WiFi effortlessly . *Renaming the Devices connected to recognize them is very easy. * you will need to download the app from IOS or android appstore and works well on android platform . *You will need to register on the smarteefi app with valid email to use the remote and smart features and the email setup and app login was a breeze. *Device does not reset or will have to reconfigure after a power outage, when the power is back it will reconnect to your wifi automatically and so does the devices. Alexa Setup: Integrating the Devices with alexa was very Easy too. We will need to add the alexa skill "smarteefi" on the Echo device and login to the smarteefi account in the alexa app. Once the skill is added and logged into the account , go to Smart home section of alexa app and search for devices and all devices connected to the smart strip will show up on alexa. Thats it now you can control the appliances using the Echo device Example: turn on TV / turn on speaker /and same with switch off. The best part about this is you can create a group for all your smart home products using alexa app , you can customise the group to then perform specific actions Example : I have connected the strip to my TV/air purifier and my klipsh speakers and I also have phillips hue and syska bulbs , So I created a group with all smart devices in my bedroom and I can simply program alexa to turn off or on the entire group at once. also you can put multiple routines like " if i say alexa , movie mode" it will automatically turn on my speaker and TV and dim the lights to 5% and ofcourse you could control other devices individually. What Can be improved to make the device even more awesome that it already is *Attention to detail Is there a subscription fee: Yes, according to Smarteefi website the remote and alexa to work you will require a licence and by default comes with 6 months free usage and 15 rupees/month there after .Considering the benefits I wouldn't mind paying this and maintaining servers and storage in a data centre isn't cheap either considering this device is selling cheap. Overall: This product is worth every rupee you spent and is made in India Manufacturer packaging: 7/10 Product quality : 9/10 Ease of Setup : 10/10 Alexa Setup : 10/10 For any further doubts, you can leave a comment. Update : although the website says there is a subscription, I haven't been charged anything and the device is working perfectly for over 15 months with Alexa !!! Am impressed ..

After using a lot of other smart products around the home it was time for a power strip extension as well. 3 individual sockets does the job. For people who are familiar with using a smart device in their homes already like a smart bulb or smart socket plug, setup will be a breeze. For first time users recently joining the smart home bandwagon, the seller has included a proper manual that ships with the product. I am impressed as usually such products come with a piece of paper and in pidgin English or Chinese or just 2-3 lines would be printed on the box somewhere forcing you to be Archimedes to exclaim Eureka on discovery. The initial setup requires the Smarteefi APP available for Android and iOS to be installed first. Once you have discovered the device using the process in the APP and set it up, then the APP becomes useful to control the 3 individual sockets. Please note you would need a working WiFi once the initial device discovery is done and if you wish to connect remotely to the power strip then you also need Internet connectivity. You can then even setup a schedule for turning on/off a socket automatically at a preset time. This is useful for people who want to for example turn on lights (Diwali is around the corner) automatically at 1800hrs and turn it off at say 0600hrs. The manufacturer has kindly provided individual switches on the board as well for those who wish to use it as a dumb extension board especially when travelling. There is also a main red power button that turns off power to the board completely especially if you have placed it in a hard to reach place and cannot reach the electrical switch. The only thing is the cord is not that long and could have been a little longer. The manufacture of the finished product is sleek comparable to a dumb APC or Belkin power strip available in some cases at almost the same price. White colour though so be prepared to give it a little scrub from time to time. Coming to the most important part functionality, yes it works with Google Home, Amazon Alexa so that simplifies turning on and off further without having to hunt for your smartphone to use the APP to control it. Simply talk to the polite Google or Alexa and let it do the work for you. Again this function requires router connectivity and all devices must be appearing on the same wifi network for it to work. If you have set it up with the APP and own Google Home or Alexa Echo, they will automatically also discover the device and offer to include it in their list of smart devices available for voice control. You can also use the Alexa APP from your phone for it manually and a prompt will show up on your screen otherwise the Echo/Home speaker will immediately speak and inform you about adding the device. Give the three sockets an easy name to remember so that you can speak and ask Alexa or Google to turn it on/off individually or remember what you have connected where to the default names. In Alexa or Google you can even club all three sockets installed in an area or location like Bedroom, so that speaking "Turn on Bedroom" will turn on all devices in the Bedroom. Useful for people who hook up their TV's, Home Theatres and Cable TV using the three sockets and need to turn on all three together. Please note the sockets cannot take too much load as they are meant for appliances that tend to draw less electricity. Also try to avoid overloading the socket with additional sockets connected to one of its plugs. For an expensive smart product that would be a pretty dumb thing to do. Otherwise its a good product and should over time be dependable/useful once the novelty wears off. As time goes by more and more people will come to use and think of this as pretty much normal.

I have been using this product for last 6 months, and indeed very satisfied with the performance. Not even once I faced any issue with its working. Firstly I should appreciate the efforts put in by the manufacturer for arriving at such an excellent design , further the feel and looks of the product can easily put the product into a category of high-quality products available in the market. I have been using this product for last six months, in my hobby of fish keeping. Three sockets provided in this powerstrip can be independently controlled either by setting the inbuilt timer/s or through the 'Smarteefi App' available in android playstore. Lights, Filters, Heater/Cooling fans of my aquarium tank are connected to the three separate sockets as per utility/necessity. Turning on/off these accessories and equipments are now completely automated by using this Smart Powerstrip. This frees a lot of time and also eases the necessity of remembering when to turn them on/off manually. Whenever I leave home on a busy office-day or on a short vacation, this WiFi connected device updates me the actual status of my aquarium through notifications enabled on the 'Smarteefi App' on my android tab. I can turn on /off any of the sockets on the device through the app, as long as there is internet connectivity between my location and the device. If you have a passion for fish keeping and indeed care for your fishes' well being, this gadget is a must-buy for you. Coupled with a wifi enabled indoor camera and an automatic feeder on your tank, you will always feel near to your fish to take care of them. However, for using the luxury of remote operation over the internet, the device should be supported by power-backup, be it an inverter at your home or a generator in your building, and a dependable always-on internet connection. This is necessary even for the working of the independent timer facility for each power socket because the on/off timings are not stored in the device, but on the servers maintained by the gadget manufacturer (Located in India itself, as I learnt) I shall recommend this device to any aquarium enthusiast and considering the fact that this supplements the other investment like a fish tank, good fish, filters, lights, heaters etc, and also acts as a protection for these from power surge. Its utility adequately justifies the the cost of the gadget.

I like the product quality, ease and function except that the wireless operation completely relies on data connectivity, if you have a local wifi running with some issue in internet, the wireless switching from anywhere won't work. Considering the pros like ease of setup, quality, speed, value for money and alot, Smarteefi could have been the one of best home automation product providers if their devices could work on local wifi network too. I've tested this by disconnecting my ethernet cable from router, i get connection error because of data. So this is a good product where there is no or very less internet downtime, probably in office spaces or in developed countries. My advise to manufacturer:- you have done a great job, most importantly it's Made in India. I don't want to give you bad rating, but on the otherside i want you to work on this data dependency problem. Want to see Smarteefi completing with flying starts against other foreign brands which are unnecessarily looting people on the name of automation.

This smart power extension is an excellent product, It individual socket control, app is user friendly, and manual switches for all socket for added flexibility. The build quality is solid, and it’s perfect for managing multiple devices efficiently. Highly recommended!

I was initially skeptical about this product but I love all the features it has after I got it. The setup process is very smooth and hassle free. I have connected it to Alexa and it works very well. I have also scheduled a lamp to come on in the evening and turn off at a certain time a bit later. Initially my wife just thought about it as one of my boy toys but recently asked me to get similar more units for my bedroom lights. That says a lot for this product. It is well made quality product and the interface is simple. My only issue is that its Wi-Fi range is not upto the mark. Wherein other wi-fi devices connect to the router easily this unit doesnt get the signal and you see the light blinking trying to connect. A good investment to build up IOT for home use.

I have been using the safari browser on an iPhone to control this . It works as intuitiveky ad native app would . The only limitation would be it would talk to the device via the cloud . The software works very reliably - delightfully reliably. On build quality and software reliability I would rate this 5 stars. An important caveat -that made me change my rating. I could not get any info on whether their cloud security practices conform to standards . So I have no assurance that an insider or outsider threat can cause malicious changes to device states . So however good the hardware quality is , I cannot use this to supply power to valuable appliances . Shame really . Good build quality ( early days ). Setup and control is easy . App on Android for control over local wifi . Assuming web security is strong , offers great promise and use casesespecialy when they open up their REST API . Strangely they don't intend to open it for individuals to access over REST API only for business users . At the moment I use it to supply power to the TV , set top box and speakers where the manual on/off switch is difficult to access .

I had purchased this in November 2018. It was working fine till recently. But suddenly about a month ago the Smarteefi 3 in 1 smart plug started switching off at the stroke of midnight. I tried all the work around but could not resolve it. As a last resort I emailed to the customer care at Smarteefi and got a response immediately asking me the exact issue and my configuration settings in the app. After done with it I received a phone call from Mr Vipin and we walked through the various settings made on my app. After finding nothing wrong he then asked me if I am using Alexa or Google dongle at home. After troubleshooting on line it finally transpired that I had enabled the plug to be switched off every day at midnight. When I deleted this routine everything was back to normal. I was really surprised at the prompt response from Mr Vipin and going to great lengths to resolve the issue. I would highly recommend this product to everyone as the product is not only good and working flawlessly but also the excellent service they provide. They are really committed to their customers and I loved their ethics in their business activities which is very difficult to find these days from our countrymen.
