Porta Pro I Prolite Wired On Ear Headphone without Mic (Black)

Audio quality is really good even though the pair first came out in the 80s. A bit bass heavy so people who are into hiphop or other genres with emphasis on the lower frequencies would totally love this pair. Although there are some "iems" that are cheaper and offer a better sound quality theres one thing the porta pros have that they dont, and thats peak 80s looks. The headphones themselves are so comfortable you WILL forget that they are even on. Cons: Audio will leak while listening in higher volume levels as they are open back headphones (listening in and around 65%-70% seems like a sweet spot where audio is clear and also very minimal leaks) As they are open back, not quite suitable for listening to inside a bus or say public as sound leaks both outside and also comes inside. Really good pair for listening to indoors could even compete with well known headphones audiophiles love that are way more expensive than this pair. 10/10

Really cool headphones, doesn't have any mic or play paise button, the blue plastic is a little bit faded than the one in the image. But because of the sound and the comfortness it's worth every penny, definitely would recommend to the audiophiles

I love my koss headphones, they have a vintage feel to them. Great for when you want to take a break from bluetooth earphones or headphones. The music quality is not the best. There is a lot of sound spillage since the ear pads are very tiny but either ways great for regular use.

Really quality product with respect to sound. I have Sennheiser PX-80, and used it for last 3 years - i can certainly say this sounds better that that. Amazing clarity, performance. Bass heads may not like much, but i prefer clarity over just bass boost. I got it for 3,490...Now I see it is nearly double, then think again. You can go for Sennheiser HD599 SE instead.

Excellent sound quality

It stands up to the expectations of being comfortable. It seems fragile but it is durable as well. The one is recieved is with mic, when I order without mic so thats a plus.

Got these legendary entry level headphones for around 5k. Do they live up to the hype? Gonna review it based on 3 things: Sound Quality: 4/5 (after some modification) These sound incredibly muddy right outside the box, and I was going to give this 2/5. They are not crystal clear and are way more heavy on the bass side. Treble is faint and vocals are almost silent for certain genres like Older Rock or Synthwave. However, this is because you need an equaliser to reset the sound to neutral. For mobile, the easiest option is to download the "Wavelet" equaliser app , long press the "Auto-EQ" option and look up "Koss Porta Pro" in the search menu. Once that is done, you get an amazing pair of headphones. They sound really good. Unfortunately this app only works for music (including Spotify, YouTube Music ,SoundCloud etc), so regular YouTube, casual video listening and taking calls doesn't use the equalizer and you're back to muddy sound. Maybe the premium version helps but I haven't tested it. The mic quality is just below decent. It's a standard earphone mic, 2.5/5 for that. Feel: 4/5 These are extremely light headphones and you don't feel like you're wearing them at all. You can adjust the clamp pressure to light and it's almost relaxing. The foam pads are nice on the ears too, albeit a bit cheap feeling. But if you have a big head (usually for men above the age of 20 and a height over 6 ft), these are not easy to fit at first. You have to extend the headband all the way and set the clamp pressure to light. I don't recommend these headphones for the gym. Please buy the sporta pros instead, or replace the earpads with waterproof ones. Build Quality: 3/5 Contrary to popular opinion, I don't think the build is that fragile. It is not super sturdy but it doesn't break easily either. They fold into themselves compactly with clips so that you can store them easily. HOWEVER, the earphone cables from the drivers are super thin and very prone to breakage. I would not be surprised if these cables don't last more than 5 months. They're not detachable, and Koss' lifetime warranty is not valid for customers in India. On the plus side, the koss porta pro uses standard wires and cables so it might not be hard to repair the wire. All you need to know is basic soldering. Or give them to someone who does. Accessories: 1/5 There's only one accessory, the carry bag. This bag is pretty bad, I didn't even bother using it and instead got a third party headphone case. They do the job well enough but the headphones don't feel safe at all in them. OVERALL VERDICT: Buy these if you want an audio device for listening on the go but HATE earphones and also can't use headphones for long because they're too heavy. These are perfect for listening on the bus or train. If you spend a lot of time travelling on public transport or just like walking and listening to music, these are awesome. Don't bother getting the mic version - 4/5. But on the other hand, if you don't have a problem with earphones, earbuds or IEMs, these are not worth it. You can buy a good pair of IEMs instead. Plenty of great IEMs coming out right now with on par/better sound quality. These are for a niche audience only
