Q: Is this weather proof? Can it remain outside on the roof for extended period?

I had it outside on a timer for 3 months straight through all weather. I think it also snowed on it and was below freezing before I brought it in. It only ran during the daytime to scare away woodpeckers. It is still in good shape and plan to put it back out again in the spring. There is the possibility that it might fade over time.

Q: What kind of warranty does this have?

i believe its a year, i don’t remember. But it worked great. I got it for my grandson who is 4 years old and he is crazy about his (Baloon Dancer)” which is what he calls the pupet dancer! George/ Houston, Tx

The dancer is waterproof, but the fan/motor is not. I would not leave this outdoors during inclement weather.

Q: Do I need a outdoor extension cord

I have always used a regular extension cord, but only place the fly puppet dancer outside when the weather is nice. If you plan to put it outdoors when it is raining or snowing, which I would not recommend since that may damage the motor/fan, I would then use a more durable outdoor extension cord.
