Vintage Salton Cosmopolitan Yogurt Maker - Model #YM-4

The product was packed so carelessly that one of the jars was broken and the outside box was taped together in two different places by the postal carrier. Otherwise, the product was fine. So, I am, sadly, one jar short of a full yogurt maker. I don't know where I can replace that jar. If you do, please let me know.

I had this yogurt maker in the 1970's. This time my first batch turned out thin. Since there are many variables to consider in preparing the yogurt..the temperature of milk, type of milk and starter used, and amount of milk solids, and number of hours to set, I may have better luck with my next batch. I like having the five cups with lids to keep the yogurt in the fridge.

I had one back in the 80's and loved it. Most of my jars were lost or broken, so I ordered this one and am so excited!

I've re-embraced making yogurt and wanted one just like the one I had when my boys were tots! It's simple to use and makes a very good yogurt.

I bought this in college and I have been making yogurt for the past 40 years as well. It is better, cheaper and healthier (no sugar) than store bought yogurts. I always try to encourage my friends to buy the same model because it is sturdy and takes a lot less room than recent yogurt makers. , When containers have broken I have replaced them with jam jars and screw-on tops.

I have this for over 40 yrs. It works great. I have never hadf a bad batch and it still works great!
