HORSTMANN CENTAURSTAT 7 Central Heating Electronic Thermostat

This was a like-for-like replacement of an identical programmer which had gone defective after 13 years of reliable service. I plugged the new programmer into the old baseplate and it worked straight away. It took a few seconds to power up and register but after that all was good. The only problem I had was trying to remember how to program it but that soon came back after a few attempts. Now working perfectly.

We are throughly delighted with this. Our old one died and we struggled on too long. Checking on my faithful Amazon and there it was. Amazing value. We just plugged in and it worked. Would have cost a fortune through an electrician. No expertise needed. No wiring needed. It literally just plugs in as you would with any appliance. Thoroughly recommended.

We had the last Centaurstat 7 for over 12 years came back from holidays to find it was not working, so purchased a new one, and that did not seem to be working either, phoned the technical help people and found out it was not the centaurstat but a wire had come loose,. Anyway keeping the new one. Found over the years that this a really good thermostat, trouble free and lasts a long time

Bought as a replacement for an identical model due to the buttons failing. So easy to install, just popped the batteries in, pulled on the old one from the backing plate and popped the new one on.

Cheap, easy to install, difficult to program because has so many options, perfect for central heating control. Bought this as was familier with it from last house. The only problem I had before was letting the batteries run out completely which means you lose the programs. this was my fault.

It's easy to fit and operate. Simple to program and easy to temporary change.

Workshop well
