Top shelf product
This review is based on what I've seen and heard in the 2 days I've had them. First, they came well packed, but nothing fancy. Build quality is excellent overall. I like the fact that the cables are interchangeable with other mmcx cables, and not the 2 prong kind. Right out of the box, these fit my ears perfectly with the pre-attached eartips, but also included other size tips if necessary. Of course the most important thing with earbuds is the sound and comfort. These do not disappoint. Sound is on the level of my audio technica ath m50x studio headphones. The perfect fit also kept most outside noises to a minimum, and ensured me a great range of sound. No issues with comfort either. So I highly recommend. I'm not sure how they will hold up, but, so far, I'm very happy with the final e4000 earbuds.

Great headphones that work best for me over-ear
I use a Schiit DAC/amp with my laptop and these headphones work brilliantly with it (they do work best when you use a headphone amp, by the way). The fit is good and the sound they produce is full and clear, with an excellent balance of lows, mids, and highs - leaning slightly warm, I think. The only negative for me is that, because I have slightly smaller than average ears, the earpieces stick out a little. That causes the cord to pull the earpieces downwards and press against the top of my ear canal. So my ears used to get sore after using these headphones for a while. That was super easy to fix using the supplied rubber ear hooks. When I use those soft, comfortable hooks to wear these headphones over-ear they fit well and sit comfortable in my ears for hours on end. Your mileage may vary, of course. But, if you do have smaller ears, try the ear hooks.Overall these are the best sounding headphones I've bought in a couple of years and would recommend them highly to anyone with a DAC/amp looking to upgrade their sound.

Broke three times in two years
These are cool looking headphones that come in a nice case and have nice ear tips and ear hooks. The sound quality is good, but in my experience there is a problem with the design or manufacture of the product. My set started having uneven audio output between right and left channels. Warranty was for two years, and I had it replaced. But the replacement also suffered this same problem, and it was also replaced. Last week, I noticed the replacement for the replacement also developed this problem. Not sure if it's something I'm doing wrong (none of my other ear phones seem to have this problem), or a problem with these headphones, but I wouldn't recommend them.

Best in price range I've tried
I was looking for a replacement for my prior pair of IEM's: hifiman re600s v2 songbird, which sounded very musical (albeit definitely not a flat response curve) but had flaws in the construction which lead to the lack of durability. After a lot of researching and multiple blindfold tests I found these Final Audio E4000's to be exactly what I was looking for. They provide clarity across the frequency range and have a bit of bump on the low end though definitely not overstated. The sound-stage is encompassing (as it should be with IEM's imo) which makes these sound great for just about any genre of music. With the Comply rounded foam tips I get a great seal and it blocks out the majority of the intrusive sounds that busy NYC throws my way. Highly recommend!

AWFUL DURABILITY
Short version:The problem is any drop of a liquid will damage one of the earbuds and permanently lower the particular buds volume. The sound quality is overall pretty good BUT I have had many cheaper earbuds under $30 that are louder than these. I ran into the same issue as another person who bought these. These earbuds will last IF you do not get any liquid near them. So good luck cleaning them. I've owned over 40 plus pair of earbuds, headphones, earphones in a span of 10 years and these are the only pair that were incapable of being cleaned without issues. The first pair the right earbud became low after a ridiculously small amount of water made its way inside the earbud. I emailed the company and they Shipped me a brand new pair for free. I just cleaned this new pair and surprise the right earbud gets significantly low. Luckily I had the other good earbud from the first pair I bought so I had to switch it. I do like these earbuds but the fact the durability to liquids is so pathetic I can't see myself buying from this company again . Which is a shame.

Comfortable and sound great
Cons:I've owned it for less than one month with casual use, but about 5% of the time, the right earbud would randomly cut off all sounds for a few seconds. Can't tell if it's a wire or driver issue as I haven't tried replacing the wire yet.---Pros:The other 95% of the time, the sound quality is great. Very neutral and has a decent soundstage. I find its soundstage to be not as good as my kz-as10, but it is leaps and bounds better than something like a 1moretripple driver.---Buy it for its comfort level, especially if you have small ears like me. For its price tag, the sound quality is up there. They beat out all the $100 ranged earbuds I've ever owned. I find them perfect for commuting in NYC and everyday use.---Some more things to note :- The wires make alot of noise, but u can always use the hook they give or just switch them out since it's detachable (or go wireless Google it).- Turn up the volume since they aren't incredibly loud.- It's Suuuper lightweight.- Minimal sound leakage. I can listen to Britney aggressivly yelling at me to "Work B*tch" as I'm dying studying in the library just fine.
