Derwent Super Point Manual Helical Desktop Sharpener

It's a Product from a British company so it is needless for me to say that it's a marvel of a product. The helical blades and all metal architecture of this desktop sharpener give a very strong sense of sturdiness and robustness. I have owned quite a few from the Chinese brand Deli as well but I find this one to be better. Though I agree that it's almost 3 times the price and also made in China but I think it's worth it. The pencil sharpens without any jerks, just how swiftly the hand crank moves and you are left with a very long super pointed pencil tip. Also the look and feel of the product is very premium. Go for it if you are looking for a good quality pencil sharpener that is probably gonna outlast you.

Delivery: the delivery was on time but the packaging was very bad, they didn't even wrap it with a bubble wrap. They just put it in their signature amazon packet and sent it and that resulted in damaging the product's packet although the main product was completely ok.Product:PROS- the sharpener is made of plastic but is very sturdy. It sharpens the pencil to a beautiful fine point. It prevents a lot of breakage. It comes with a desk clamp with which we can attach it to the desk.CONS: in most of the sharpeners, when the pencil is sharpened to the maximum point, it stops sharpening but this sharpener does not stop sharpening and thus results in eating up more pencil. To avoid this you need to take the pencil out and check if the pencil has reached its maximum point.

Not good.. scratches the pencil.. point breaks often

Very impressed with the pencil sharpener. Bought this for my 6 year old and suddenly we have a limitless number of pencils that can be used. It does sharpen the pencil really well. Only gripe was that the instructions on how to open the back when a lead breaks wasn't highlighted. Since I had used one before, I knew how to do it. But I can see people getting frustrated by that and thinking that the sharpener was broken.

I've used a great many pencils in my school, college n sketching days but I don't remember ever seeing a point this sharp - I mean seriously you could use a pencil sharpened with this as an assault weapon 😂So this is definitely outstanding for normal graphite pencils, will update this review later after using on my charcoal pencilsThe product itself is unbelievably sturdy and heavy enough to be used as a paperweight 😜 but the attachment to fix the sharpener to the desk is very welcome n easy to fixThe sharpener itself is very easy to use as well, but if you have never used such products before, I hadn't, then the instructions are not very clearHowever it's nothing a 2 min YouTube video can't fix n I was up n going immediately

Well made, good wuality plastic. Sharpens really well. Very happy with product. Use every 2nd day..as an architect
