The stills picture quality from this camera are amazing. Probably more features and programs than most will ever use. Worth investing in a CF express card type B especially if you are going to shoot in RAW mode. Overall a top notch performer.

Great. The 40fps is insane! Upgrading from the EOS RP. Out for wildlife or action, you’re ready! Recommended. R7 mii was out for release, or was, but it didn’t come out. This was the next best thing. But R7 mii is APSC so if you’re doing landscape, this is better. For all photographers this camera is a video POWERHOUSE! And has log format for editing for all purposes. R7 mii is good for anything but wide shots, so if you’re doing any landscape or street photography or wide angle architecture, this is the camera for you! Hybrid is where it’s at. If you’re doing videography mostly get the R6V.

Canon gave it a new 32.5MP sensor — a real jump up from the Mark II’s 24MP — and dialed in autofocus borrowed straight from the R5 Mark II and the flagship R1. In practice, that means subject tracking that locks on and stays locked, even in ugly light, and a burst mode with enough buffer depth that I’m not babysitting the card mid-sequence anymore. Paired with the new RF 70-200mm f/2.8, this combo has not let me down once. Not on the sideline, not in a fast-moving portrait session, not once across thousands of frames. You all seen the You Tube videos about this camera because no one buys a $2800 without research. That said, I bought this camera, my third Canon mirrorless. Nothing new to say except that it is an outstanding camera, for both stills and videos. Flying birds are the most difficult to photograph and the R6iii nailed it on tracking, focusing, and pre-capture. LOVE this camera. (paired with the RF100-500L lens)
