This worked as intended.
This knitter worked like it was intended to when you use the correct size yarn. I like the weight and that it has legs and was compact and good for travel. It was easy to put together and use. I found it to be of qood quality as it did not break will using it. I returned it because I thought it would do bigger yarn which it will not. It did fine with 4 worsted weight cotton . Just not a 5 weight which is what I needed. It looked bigger like it would and I saw a video that lead me to believe it would, but the yarn I wanted to use was to big, it just kept jamming up. I bought the next size up a 22 needle Addi to see if that will work. They need an in-between size of these two machines.

Arrived defective with a broken pin and no spares
The media could not be loaded. This item arrived defective with a broken pin and no spare pins. Even when trying to work around the broken pin it starts to hang up, yes, even when using the egg weight and requires fiddling with the yarn and positioning the yarn properly manually to get it to work. All this required extra care slows down the knitting process which one could more easily do by hand. Very unfortunate experience. I have the other Addi knitting machines and they work great. I expected the same quality from this one and was severely disappointed.

It broke
Hi I love this little knitter but I broke a piece and there are no replacements how do I fix it I replaced the teeth I broke they sell them on Amazon and then I stripped the inner gold gear unfortunately I tried to fix it I’m in the middle of making this thicker yarn for a chunky blanket I hope I don’t hurt my new one they are expensive but the only one that does this that I can find I have the pro and king too absolutely love them

It was Way easier to use than I expected.
Edited: well the third time I tried it one of the pins broke. I’ve already thrown away the boxes so I doubt I can return it.I read and watched videos before purchasing and was able to make an i-cord right out of the box. If you are having any sort of issues with it I suggest watching video's. This thing is fun to use.

IMO most bad reviews are due to user error
First of all, prices fluctuate wildly for this item on Amazon! I snagged mine for $28, two days later it was $60, then $40. So if you really, really want a deal just be very patient. I waited a year! lolSecond, and most important, the reviews almost scared me out of purchasing. However, after watching 2 YouTube videos and following the instructions to the letter my first try was a success. I truly believe the bulk of the poor reviews are simply due to user error. You MUST cast on correctly and you must use the weight correctly. Once the weight gets close to the table/floor/your lap you just stop and move it back up. In doing so I made it through an entire skein of yarn with zero skipped or tucked stitches! I’ve had this for roughly a month and have had nothing but good results! This is my second Addi product. I also have the 22 pin Addi Express. I’m my opinion Addi is head and shoulders above other brands. They are worth the hefty price if you plan on using them even semi-regularly. I have 3 Sentros and a Prym, and the Addi machines take yarn that won’t make it through even one row on the others.

Machine flaws - Read before buying!
ATTENTION! READ BEFORE BUYING!First, I want to preface this by saying that I own the Addi King and love it! This little egg however, is more the court jester. While it looks amusing it will 100% frustrate you to no end. It tangles, slips stiches and the teeth are not the quality one has come to expect from this company. While the King comes with sturdy white teeth that have a sharp lip and deep mouth, the Egg has a more rounded lip, softer edges and is made flimsy, much thinner, material. The red prongs on the egg, meant to catch and hold the stitches, have too much of a slope to them and often allow stitches to slip back and bunch. It is my belief, that if the company were to fix these issues, this product would be not only useable, but phenomenal. I will be returning my egg in hopes of finding a better solution to my I cord creation needs.

Broke in 30 minutes
Very difficult to use. I had just figured it out when 2 needles broke, rendering it unusable. I've ordered replacement needles and I'll give it another chance but my hopes aren't high.
