Lasts a really long time if conditioned properly
I want to emphasize the need to condition this battery properly when you use it for the first few times. You must run the battery down until it is completely dead, fully charge it, and run it down again. Repeat one more time and each time you do this, you will see how the battery holds more and more of a charge. It arrives with a really good charge on it. I don't know if it was fully charged but it seems like it was. I used it to clean three large rooms before it ran out of juice. I made sure it was completely dead by starting it up a few times after it reported "Charge Roomba" until eventually, it would not move at all.I then gave it a full charge and ran it again. This time I did the same three rooms and then I did them again, and then again. I was starting to think that this battery would never run out. This battery is so much better than the original Roomba battery. Now, the battery is new and I don't know how long it will last but my initial experience has been excellent. I will update here again when the battery makes it through the one year warranty period.I should point out that the surfaces the Roomba 770 was dealing with were not easy ones so the performance is even more impressive given that. For example, there are a few small thick carpets on wood floors that the Roomba has to fight to climb up and over. There are also many raised obstacles when the unit passes through rooms that consume more power than a standard flat wood or vinyl floor.I did have one issue when I first installed the battery. It ran fine through the first run but when I plugged it in to charge, it would not recognize the battery. I got a "charge errro 1".I did a reset per Roomba web site but still nothing. I remove the battery, used a wire brush to brush off the contacts on the Roomba, put the battery back in, and all was well. At first I thought the battery was not thick enough and perhaps needed a small piece of foam on the top to press it against the terminals but in the end just the cleaning did the trick. If you do have this issue, try cleaning the terminals (your old battery might have leaked a little on them) and if no luck add a little bit of foam spacer between the top fo the battery and the battery cover. As others here have stated, if you do have an issue, post it here in the reviews to get attention. I wrote to the support address provided in the box with the battery but after four days they have not responded. As it turns out, I don't need any support at this point.

This was the answer!
I ordered because my IRobt Roomba wasn’t charging. I’ve had it at least 10 years and tried all the tips, when I googled. Last resort was replace the battery! Works great now!

error 3 for my Roomba
Update: after buying a battery directly from Roomba, and that battery showing error three again, I called Mbah customer service, and they told me that error three means my machine has a charging problem. My old Roomba cannot be fixed. This battery is the same battery as the one that Rumba sent me. There is nothing wrong with the battery and I would encourage anyone who needs a new Roomba battery to buy it because the price is very good. Thank you to all who tried to tell me about the wheel height. I followed the Roomba companies, technical instructions and cleaned all my wheel wells, etc. Disregard the rest that follows… bought this a few years ago and I'm sorry to say that I forgot to post my review. I didn't put it into the vacuum right away and once I did, I got an error message from Rumba and the vacuum didn't work. I just let it sit around, because it was one more thing to deal with. Buyer beware… Or at least try it right away and return it if it doesn't work. One more thing. I just bought a Roomba 694, and I decided to try the battery that came with it in my old Roomba. Guess what...my old Roomba works! The problem was the battery, for sure, for sure, for sure

Nice battery
Great price but doesn’t operate sweeper as long as original battery. Cycled charged to empty three times but only runs 80 minutes versus 140 minutes for original batteries. Not a game changer though. Happy with it!

experienced Roomba owner
I purchased the PowerExtra replacement battery for my 531 Roomba in 2022. Battery life was very good until about nine months ago when I noticed that the the charge began to gradually decrease the runtime. Until then, I was quite happy with the battery. Now, the battery no longer holds a charge beyond 5 minutes. i've owned a Roomba since the first model was introduced so know how to properly use, clean, and charge a Roomba to preserve optimum battery life. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I was disappointed that this battery didn't last longer.4/2024 As an update, I decided to try another battery from this company after writing the earlier review and having received excellent and courteous customer service. I'm updating the review from a 3 to 5 stars. The new battery is working great, running about 90 -100 minutes on a charge. Soon I will buy another one for my very old 400 series Robot. I'm glad that these aftermarket batteries exist as the iRobot batteries are too expensive. Have used Roomba vacuums for about 20 years.
