Are the clips metal and do the plastic stickers protect the paint very well ?

The clips are metal and it's a thicker plastic sticker that is put on first. The clips then slide on the edge of the hood where you put the plastic sticker. I was nervous about sliding the clips on, but from what I can tell all is good. It would be nice if they came up with a different method.

Will this fit a 2018 Ram Rebel 1500?

I can see no reason why it would not fit the Rebel. RAM has not changed the hood on the 2018 model. However, I’m confident it will not fit the Rebel TRX as that is a completely different hood design.
