How to install replacement blades: insert blades into the Slot of the ferrule (the arrow head). secure in place with the setscrew. Ensure that the blades rotate freely from open to closed. How to install shrink tubing: place a single band over the tip with the blades fully enclosed in the Slot. Slide the band down the ferrule until it is in the Slot. Slide the band down the ferrule until it is in the retaining groove. The blades may move slightly. If the band does not stay in the retaining groove, use a heat source such as a pocket lighter or a hair dryer to shrink the band down. Care should be taken to not overheat the band. Caution: this product is extremely sharp. Serious injury can occur if handled improperly. Please follow the instructions carefully.

Premature blade deployment
Bow hunter for 35 years. It's real simple, occasionally, the 150 grain swhackers with 3" cut suddenly fly erratically - diving into the dirt in front of deer, flying over it's back, etc., and this is at short distances with a rest. THE BLADES OCCASIONALLY DEPLOY IN FLIGHT. The HEAT SHRINK TUBING is obviously failing. When they work - they're awesome, but it really sucks that I missed an 8 and a 9 because of a Swhacker failure last season.

with a blood trail that was easy to follow for the short 40 yds the buck ...
Ever since I bought an Excalibur crossbow I have been trying to find a 150 grain expandable Broadhead. This one is it... Performance and value. Killed my first buck with them about a week after they arrived. Clean humane kill, with a blood trail that was easy to follow for the short 40 yds the buck ran before crashing. I cannot recommend the Swhacker 150 grain head with any more enthusiasm. If you shoot a 150 grain head from a high speed crossbow, do yourself a favor and give these a try.

Blades are loose, not like new
Purchased the replacement blades for my 150 grain crossbow broadheads. The blades are different and are missing a small hump that touches restraining band like the new heads. They rattle and come out of the pocket, sloppy. I believe this movement caused my head to open pre maturely and plane. Contacted swhacker a few times and they don’t respond with a resolution.

Loose blades
The blades fit loose in the broad head. Blades are not tight like the new broad heads.
