Marijuana: Let's Grow a Pound: A Day by Day Guide to Growing More Than You Can Use

A great book for us novices. I've been with chronic pain for 7 years since a construction injury, which means 24/7 headaches, neck, back and shoulder pain, and many nights of little or no sleep. I take hydrocodone all day, every day, and I hate it. After hearing people talk about medicinal pot that can naturally stop pain, I figured I'd buy this book to see what it would take to grow my own medicine, and if even somebody with a "black thumb" like me might be able to do this. I've got to say, this is the perfect book for us dummies. Pictures, laymen's level instructions, and hints and tips BEFORE you need them, and so helping to not mess it up. Not to mention, they have a nice list of necessary equipment for a full (literally) set-up when you start. Also, there are a few chapters on legal issues and the state of affairs mj (step outside and shut the door behind you :). Thought the title was too good to be true when I ordered it, but I have to say it's probably one of the most precise, knowledgeable instruction books I've ever read- and I've read a bunch of them. This book is more of a picture diary of a grow than a guide. The book lacks many things I look for in grow guides. (mostly troubleshooting tips, nutrient guide)While the pictures where nice and the book ok the book left me wanting more as it contained so little information. The is no troubleshooting section so the few problems the author ran into most likely won't help with your problem if you have one. Anyway, I'd recommend another book if you're looking for a guide.Edit: I've read the guide again and found it more useful the second time. Sometimes a second read is what a book needs. Also bought some other books to use for troubleshooting that helped a bunch.

I bought this for an "old Buzzard" I know. He doesn't read well and often has a hard time retaining what he reads. But THIS book is perfect for him. The directions are clear and straightforward and backed up with photos that demonstrate exactly what he needs to know. And his recall is so much better because of the pictures. This book armed him with the necessary details to get the project done well, without bogging him down with all the science he doesn't really care about. I gave it five stars because it was exactly what it claimed to be and was exactly what my "old buzzard" needed.

I have been wondering if I should use co2 for my grows and this book showed me the proof I needed to make up my mind. I bigger crop is going to be great for my medical needs.

Very basic. Knowledge. Not for experienced growers

could be more open details but ok for one just wanting to try this type of plant growing,little to much about CO2.

This information is very up to date with minor things I personally would disagree with but he's much more experienced then I. When I reserve my medical card this will come in handy. Novice friendly and experienced friendly.

If you enjoy browsing thru someone's photo albumn, THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU!!!!!!! If you are searching for knowledge/guidance/education, BUY ANOTHER BOOK!!!!!!!! That is an hour and a half I spent (and yes I went through the ENTIRE book in that time) that I will never get back. I only learned that he is an accomplished picture taker or a good photoshopper.

Good book

This is a daily photo journal of a grow. I bought this as an intermediate grower looking to find the little things that I needed to do to put me over the top ..... no new info.GREAT daily pics. Daily facts also very informative.....
