I pour leadhead fishing jigs and wanted to modify some of my aluminum molds to accept larger hooks. I've used a rotary tool on other molds in the past, but these molds are small, expensive and would be difficult to replace if I accidentally slipped and damaged them. So I was very excited to find these mini diamond files. You get a good selection of small files that come with a clear slotted pouch for storage. The file is one solid piece of metal with a dipped handle for grip. Simple. I was able to take it slow and enlarge the hook channel without taking off too much material and ruining the molds.

These little files are super handy for my woodworking & 3D printing! I’ve got a few models that I print every once in a while, and there tends to be a pretty tight tolerance on those parts. I’ve always just forced them in, but using these files to wear it down definitely helps! The files themselves seem like they’re well made, as it seems like one solid piece of metal plasti-dipped on the handle for ease of grip. Comes with 10 files too, so lots of options for what you might need!
