SPRESIN Tough-Cast 65D Black is a two-part semi-rigid polyurethane casting resin built for professionals, makers, and engineers who need durability and visual appeal in one system. With its sleek black finish and rugged mechanical properties, this formula delivers outstanding impact strength, abrasion resistance, and heat deflection. It’s perfect for making functional prototypes, reproductions, end-use parts, and custom rollers where color and strength matter. Like its original counterpart, this version has a thermoplastic-like feel, similar to ABS, but with the added benefit of a striking black appearance. Whether you're producing prototypes that will be handled, tested, or put to work—or finished pieces ready for consumer use—Tough-Cast 65D Black holds its shape and integrity under stress. This easy-to-use, 1:1 mix ratio resin contains no solvents and cures in just 30 minutes, allowing for fast turnarounds. It performs exceptionally well in RTV silicone molds, creating clean, strong parts with excellent detail reproduction and low shrinkage. Whether you're using it by hand or through automated equipment, it delivers reliable results without hassle. The 32 ozt format is perfect for smaller jobs, quick iterations, or short-run productions where strength and appearance are equally important. When you're crafting something that needs to look finished and last, SPRESIN Tough-Cast 65D Black is your go-to solution. Review: Mixing is a pain in the cast - This stuff is so viscous that it's really hard to get mixed correctly in time to get it into a mold before it starts curing. Because of that, it's also not feasible to use the same measuring cups to break down a larger project into smaller pieces, because the amount that sticks inside is significant enough that it'll throw off the measurements. A lot of this product has been wasted due to the amount that gloms onto cups and tools that can't be removed before hardening begins, and due to many final projects that were oily and left molds, hands, clothes, etc., covered in black due to random patches of resin that didn't cure properly due to mixing time vs. pouring time. I guess i just need more practice. But dang, this is some very expensive practicing
