Worth it for a DIY mechanic looking to be cheap
The scanner worked exactly as expected. Will you get as much with this scanner vs one that costs $200? No, but that's not exactly a surprise. I was able to read the check engine codes for our 2002 F-150, 2000 Toyota Sienna, and 2003 Impala. It gave a good description of what was wrong with the codes, and I was easily able to clear them when I resolved the problems. The best feature about this scanner is its ability to read ABS codes though, and that is the main reason I bought it. I was not able to find a cheaper alternative that could read ABS codes. It was able to tell me why my light was on in my F-150 and Impala. This is a valuable tool for any DIY mechanic hoping to save a few bucks, and when you couple it with a bluetooth scanner that you can connect to your android phone you will have everything you need to diagnose most problems. Also, we bought ours through Amazon which was eligible for prime shipping and had absolutely no problems with it doing what I described above.

Great money saving tool
I was skeptical about buying but I needed something that read abs on 2008 gmc sierra 1500. Had traction control light stablitrack and abs light on and would not go off but was not causing drive issues. I searched internet about issues and gave a lot of scenarios so didn't want to throw money away so ordered this tool even though some review said it did not read abs codes. I got it hooked up and answered questions as they came up.. Next it found my abs code which it said brake switch bad. Kind of confusing cause brakes worked. I went to dealership bought new switch for 25 dollars took 15 minutes to install and solve all the issues. Thankful I bought it

How to use for ABS.
I want to make a point of clarification for the people that wrote that it doesn't work to check ABS on their vehicle. I bought this a year ago and was pissed when I thought it couldn't either only to realize I wasn't setting it up correctly. It is a little confusing. When asking about ABS codes it gives the options of OBD2/EOBD, US, EUROPE, and ASIA. I initially chose OBD2/EOBD and I also was greeted with the ABS not detected. I then went in and chose US and it asked for year, make, and model in which my case was a 2001 Buick LeSabre and then it worked fine. I'm guessing that was also the case with the other negative users. I've used it on many others since and checked it both ways and it always worked going through the US path. I have not checked on an Asian or European vehicle yet, so don't know for that. Not even what the OBD2/EOBD pick is for as it has never linked on any I have tried. Otherwise works great.

ABS Otc reader
Works good but just like everyone else says , it is hard to see the screen. Would be nice if it had a back-lit screen

Amazing tool
My father had this same tool and swore by it. I found it online for 1/5 the price he bought his for and it’s the same model. I’m very happy that I now have a code reader of my own and something that I know my dad uses and swears by. Highly recommend. Also I did try to take my vehicle to a local auto parts chain store that does code reading for you for free. Their reader did not clear the codes nor read as much info as this one does. A+ product.

Make sure it STATES the software is up to date
The booklet that comes with the scanner states ABS,OBDII and CAN Scan Tool-Model OTC3208. I could not get a reading by a general scan or by entering my make and model. I went to the Tool Information section to display SWID (software) and it stated I had no software to check for ABS. The current software version is 4A14. It would have to be Updated--and how?

Works fine for 2013 and older vehicles

ABS Code reader
This is what everyone needs in their garage. This specifically lists what the current problem is and any past problems which may have corrected themselves. It does read the regular OBD codes as well as the ABS. For the price of $26.⁰⁰ it is worth the 5-7 day wait for shipping. I wish this would have been made available to me years ago.

Excellent product
Excellent value for the price. The screen is small and ridiculously basic, but again for the price it's absolutely fine. I got everything what I wanted to know about the ABS issue in my Chevy Blazer and fixed it right away. This scanner saved me a lot of money and time.

Works Well
OTC has always been top-of-the-line when it comes to diagnostics; I still have an old system for OBD1 (ALDL).2005 Buick Rendezvous Read and cleared both engine and ABS codes. Live data worked well and was interesting to watch; will come in handy for basic troubleshooting, but obviously isn't as comprehensive as more expensive units. For the price, a very good buy and very useful tool.

Works well for obd2, only works for abs codes on certain vehicles
Does its job as an obd2 reader but be warned, it does not read ABS codes from all makes and models. Only certain manufacturers for certain model years. There is no list of compatible vehicles available so the only way to know is to plug it in and try to read the abs codes. I was disappointed it could not read the code from my 2004 Nissan Frontier

live data
This reader works well and surpasses my old one by having live data with the engine running. Works well and is fairly easy to use .
