Hoplite Premium High Performance Compression Socks, Durable Comfort for Lifting, Running, OCR, Hiking, Snow Sports, Knee-High

I run multiple OCR events in many states so making the event more enjoyable is important. I have looked at a number of compression socks for my long runs but the price tags seemed to be a bit steep. I came across these and thought I would give them a try after reading reviews. These socks are great. My legs felt amazing after a 6.4 mile run and there was no fatigue in my calves. The price was perfect compared to other companies out there and they withstood all the mud and terrain. Definitely looking to purchase more in the near future.

Bought these to help me get through a Mountain series Spartan Sprint and they held up perfectly! Being compression socks, they were a bit difficult to get on and off as the fabric is knit very tightly, but once they were on they felt like a second layer of skin. They didn't budge at all from my calves even as I trekked through miles of thick mud and freezing water; the lack of cotton in the fabric must've helped. The socks themselves don't seem to have much grip or specific padding at the sole of the foot, but overall that did not impact my performance and my feet were snug inside my shoes. If you are looking for socks for an OCR, even if you are a beginner, I would recommend these! (Especially at their affordable price point.) I'm certain that I would've cramped much more and the race would've been much soggier without them.

These socks rocked for my Spartan. I would buy them again. Helped intensely to keep my shins protected and blood circulating with minimal cramps. Snug fit as expected and easy to wash.

Update. I have now done 5 spartan races in these socks and they still look as good as new. Nice snug fit. Wore them in 13 mile spartan beast. Feet still had a few blisters but over all my feet felt way better than my usual socks. Plus the compression seemed to help the legs. The socks took no damage even from dragging on the rope.

I like them and they work well. I wear a size 10 asics and had to buy a medium, a large was way to big for the feet. The medium works but could be a little long for height wise and a little tighter. For the money these are probably the best.

Great socks for powerlifting! My son says they are comfortable and protect his legs when doing dead lifts.

I purchased these socks for my first Spartan Ultra Beast and that was one of the best decisions I could have made. The socks are amazing, even after 32 miles of climbing the mountain, wading through lakes, swamps and mud pits I only ended up with 1 blister. I would say that is quite impressive considering my feet were soaking wet for around 12 hours. The compression socks fit perfectly and really helped with avoiding cramps in my calves as well. I would highly recommend these socks to anyone and they end up being a good bit cheaper than some of the comparable socks designed for OCR’s. I would give 6 stars if possible!

I now wear only Vibram FiveFinger shoes but had ordered these socks a couple of years ago for Spartan racing before I went totally to nothing but FiveFingers. I had never wore them because I tend to run hot temperature wise. I did a Spartan Beast on November 23 in pouring cold rain and decided to finally wear these with my shorts. However, I faced the problem of them not having individual toes for my shoes. Then I thought I would cut the toes out and see how they would do and even if they unraveled it would be ok because they've just been in a drawer for exactly 2 years. Thus I cut the toes out and wore them for the Beast. They were AWESOME!! They helped my legs keep from getting as scratched up over walls, traverse rope, etc. They also kept my lower legs warmer. After I peeled them off after the race I was surprised to see no unraveling whatsoever. The following day when I washed my race gear in the washer I was even more surprised to see that they did NOT unravel in the wash either. Thus I have toeless socks for my next cool/cold Spartan race and I am about to buy another pair as well. I wear a size small and wear European 37 in Vibrams, US 5.5-6.5 depending on the brand if I were to ever wear non-toes.
