Does what it says, block signal once inside and closed tight. Family calls me nut. But keep my car safe from this signal extension/getting my car robbed. It is a pain because now I got a box and got to carry keys. Now I need to look for 4 things now everytime. My wallet/keys/phone/this box with key inside. A bit expensive not going to lie, but worth the worry free I get knowing im causing it harder for them to steal my car. If they try. Did buy 2 for the 2 keys. Once again we'll worth it end of the the day.

I very rarely if ever plug products; in fact, this is my first ever Amazon review! But this particular product has me pleased enough that I'm making the time. After 12 years of loyalty to my last car, I recently purchased my first vehicle with keyless entry. I spent hours reading up on different methods for preventing theft, tested the aluminum foil method (which, by the way, did not work even with several layers of heavy duty foil), and examined the designs and reviews of several Faraday boxes & bags. Other brands and styles out there, but I finally decided on this because a) I didn't want to store my fobs in the fridge and compromise their battery life, and b) this is the only one that fit my needs for portability AND had 100% solid reviews for performance. The day it arrived I tested it out with fresh batteries in both fobs for strongest signal; the results were in line with its reviews. With the fob inside and the cap on, I wasn't able to unlock my vehicle with the door handle button (even when holding the box in different positions against the car). With the lid off and the fob inside, I had to hold it sideways with the open top pointing toward the vehicle for the door button to activate. It's a bit pricey and does add one more thing in life to manage but, to me, it's far less expensive/inconvenient than vehicle or content theft. It fits nicely into even the tiniest of handbags when going out, is lightweight in the backpack for hiking, and it's designed to last. My only suggestion would be making the logo more discreet for a sleeker look, but that's negligible compared to the peace of mind it gives me. I highly recommend this product, and have just purchased another one for my spare fob.

Let me tell you a little story that will explain why you should consider this product for cars/trucks that are "late" models: I purchased 2016 VW Touareg and primarily my "better half" drives it. I even purchased her one of those really cool real leather key/fob holders with key chain attached. All was well and everything worked great until... One day my wife walks back to the car with groceries. As she was approaching (30-50' away?) the car, the car blinked (as if unlocked) and rear door started opening. My wife pretended as if nothing was happening and closed the rear door. After that, she opened a side door instead, loaded groceries in the car and drove off. My moral is - I know that someone with a scanner already registered the signal frequency and replicated command to open the rear door (to load groceries?) for my wife. As if pranking her... We are lucky we came across this RFID, signal blocker. It DOES work. When approaching the car with it being a case - no comprendo. Once it is removed out of the box - our Truffles (Touareg) wakes-up. Very good size - our fob fits well. Not too much movement (photo 2). I can only imagine for those in big cities and not to think ahead - would be silly. Get this now - it looks "clean" and lined with soft felt within. Well-thought through product. Definitely worth to own. Highly Recommend! A+

It really works. Now i could sleep without worrying about my car being taken. Awesome invention. Quality is really good. Also bought one for my son's car. Its not like the soft canvas pouches. Its aluminum and solid. Will buy more for my family.

Bought this to block my keyfob signal, does a great job. Not having to do a DIY aluminum gum box is good. Pros: 1 - Is it as advertised 2 - Good quality materials 3 - The inner lining feels good, keep your keyfob from scratches. 4 - Complete enclosure, no gaps or opening Cons: 1 - Not big enough to enclose with a keyfob cover, it's designed just for the keyfob alone 2 - No hinge design like a cigarette lighter design, that would be cool 3 - Big and have to uncap and recap before getting in and after getting out of the car...

I took a chance, though I'd always thought a faraday cage would require grounding. The VONETTI Originale Premium works perfectly. Easy test, I put my new key fobs in it and with item in-hand, I tried to access my vehicle. Even holding it up to the side glass as close to any sensors as possible, my vehicle did not detect my key fob. I removed it to open the vehicle (it auto-unlocked immediately upon removal), climbed in, put the fob back in the Vonetti and tried to start or otherwise access the vehicle while surrounded by key sensors. Nothing. No detection, no access. Great product. Love the felt lining which should keep from scratching or marring my fobs. Glad I took a chance and got 2 (I have the usual 2 fobs) instead of just trying 1 and ordering another later.

It's a nice looking sturdy case that does the job.

Nachdem erst vor kurzem der erste Fall eines Fahrzeugdiebstahls in England von einer Überwachungskamera aufgenommen wurde, ist mir bewusst geworden, wie relevant es ist, seinen Schlüssel zu schützen, da dieser stets anfällig für Hacker ist. Daher wollte ich ein Produkt, bei dem ich meinen Keyless-Go-Schlüssel zuhause absichern kann. Bei Alpha Shield wurde ich fündig und habe eine zuverlässige, als auch hübsche und gut verarbeitete Lösung erhalten. Design/Verarbeitung: Die Schutzhülle ist im Kern eine Metallhülle, die innen beschichtet ist und kommt in einem schlichten Schwarz mit "Alpha Shield"-Aufdruck an der Front. Die Verarbeitung ist absolut super, da die äußere Beschichtung sehr glatt und angenehm gestaltet ist, während der Schlüssel im Inneren ein etwas weicheres Futter hat. Sofern man sich das Produkt jedoch nicht für den Eigengebrauch, sondern als Geschenk kauft, wäre es schön, wenn es in einer Geschenkbox geliefert werden würde - so kam die Hülle lediglich in einer Einmalverpackung an. Für mich aber nicht weiter schlimm, da ich sie eh für mich selber wollte. ------------------------- Funktionsweise: Die Funktionsweise selber ist denkbar einfach: die Keyless-Go Technologie versendet stets ein Signal, welches dem Fahrzeug mitteilt "hier bin ich, du kannst das Auto aufschließen". Da dieses Signal eben auch extern abgefangen und reproduziert werden kann (siehe jüngstes Video aus England), verhindert diese Hülle, dass das Signal nach draußen treten kann. Dies wird durch eine bestimmte Beschichtung erzielt. Da dadurch die Keyless Funktion natürlich als Ganzes unterdrückt wird, verwende ich diese Hülle vorrangig als Aufbewarungs-Box für zuhause, wo ich den Schlüssel direkt reinlege. -------------------------- Fazit: Für mich hat das Produkt absolut die Erwartungen erfüllt und es vermittelt durchaus ein zusätzliches Sicherheitsgefühl. Gerade, wo diese Technologie immer mehr zum Standard wird, stellen sich eben auch Verbrecher darauf ein, diese zu umgehen oder abzufangen. Hierfür ist die Box wirklich ein absolut zuverlässiger und toller Schutz, den ich nicht mehr missen möchte. PS: ich fahre selber einen VW Golf GTI und hatte keine Probleme damit.
