A transformative book!
From the authors of “No Act of Love is Ever Wasted,” we’ve also been gifted with “Pilgrimage into the Last Third of Life.” Authors Jane Thibault and Richard Morgan show us how the last third of life, from age 60 on, can be deeply meaningful, full of purpose, and ripe with opportunities for spiritual growth. Written at ages 65 and 82, they draw upon a wealth of lived experience to address 7 gateways to spiritual growth: Facing Aging and Dying, Learning to Live with Limitations, Doing Inner Work, Living in and Out of Community, Praying and Contemplation, Redeeming Loss and Suffering, and Leaving a Legacy. This collection of meditations inspires readers to move fearlessly into the Last Third, looking forward to the opportunities this final season of life can hold.

Essential Guide for Growing Old Humbly
I just finished leading a group of 16, ranging in age from 58-89, in a seven week study of Pilgrimage into the Last Third of Life. I cannot recommend it more highly. Everyone in the group loved the book and the reflections generated lively discussion from everyone beginning with week 1. For a group with several people who didn't know the others I saw this as remarkable. I had to purchase books three times as the class grew and as word grew around in the church about the study, the five extra books I had purchased were requested by others who were not able to attend the sessions. I have already been asked to repeat the study in the Spring. The reflections really make you stop and think about the rest of your life, whatever that may be, and realize that God is not finished with you until you are called home. No matter your age, physical condition, or place of residence, God can and wants to use you.

mainly those who are fortunate to still be healthy and active
This book was given to me at just the right time...I had retired and was hoping to develop my spiritual side. Though there was a lot of emphasis on the various infirmities of life, which I have yet to encounter, there were also many concrete suggestions that have proven helpful in my quest. It was beneficial to have the point of view of a 60=something person as well as that of an 80-something author,, both experiencing that last third of life, but at different ends of the spectrum.I warn readers that some are put off by the many ailments and "senior situations" described...mainly those who are fortunate to still be healthy and active.

Excellent study
I bought this book for a study at church. It is written by two people who are in the last third of their life. Both have health issues. It is a wonderful book which can help us look at aging in a different light. Approaching our elder years in a positive rather than a negative light can make a difference.Aging occurs, it is a part of life but, the way we approach it can make our lives more enjoyable. I highly recommend this easy read.

Validation of Life Stages
I found this book helped me to validate the various stages of my life. Especially the part about Age: A natural monastery. This was something I was doing, but didn't know it had a name. The book helped me to recognize stages of my life that I have already encountered. It also is helping me to prepare for stages I may encounter later. Also, it helped me to understand how other people of my age group encounter these stages of life.

TIME TO REFLECT
This is a thought-provoking book. Each chapter ends with some questions for reflection, which helps one to really apply the insights learned about life after 60. I found this to be a very positive and encouraging book, and it is now on my list of favorite books to give as birthday presents.

Over 65?
I live in a continuing care retirement community. Several of us who still are residents of independent apartments went through small group discussions around issues presented in this book. The authors are a woman in her 60s who works in the field of gerontology and a man in his 80s, who lives in a retirement community. The perspective is Christian, but includes practical advice on which all seniors could benefit.
