Great
Had a cheap Behringer interface before this. Had to pick up my jaw off the floor after plugging this in and running sound through it. I was missing so much! Love the Neve transistors. The tone is GOLD.

I just love the Neve transformers
I just love the Neve transformers. What a great unit. This is a great value considering the Neve hardware. The hardware driver works well with Ableton Live and ProTools.

Awesome!!
Awesome touring preamp. Only one fault; they should have made it USB 3 compatible.

Best Audio Interface I Own
Top 2 Audio Interface(s), hands down. I own Motu, Focusrite, and a UR22C. The UR-RT4 is the best audio quality and volume level I own. Neve transformers sound nice with voice without adding color. But the real magic are the outputs - this AU pushes both my JBL and HS7s with unmatched clarity and volume. Not sure how to put it in words eloquently but it just sounds better, louder, and clearer using this unit. The only thing I don't love about any of my Steinberg audio interfaces is the mandatory passthrough from input to output. Maybe you can turn this off in software but I've never used Steinberg/Yamaha software as it's not necessary. For example, my Motu M2 has a button for passthrough which is really nice when I don't want my voice coming through my speakers. Add a passthrough button/switch/toggle and these are 10/10.

For professionals
This device has 4 preamps. Far right has the output levels and 2 headphone jack and levels You have the silver gain controls for the preamps. Right above it is the Neve design transformers that light up white when you press the button (which gives you more brightness to your recording as well) First 2 channels support Hi-Z signal for guitars/bass. It has a peak indicator but it is a very limited meter and won't give you that full range. It also has a Phantom +48 indicator, but the phantom power on/off switches is on the back, which I think is bad design and annoying. It should honestly be on the front (even my Scarlett 2i2 has it on the front) The back of the unit, starting from the left has the power button, the 12v power connection plug, and next to it is the USB 2 connection. It uses USB 2 connection so even if you have an older PC, it would have a better compatibility. It has Midi in and out, main output L/R, 6 channel line outputs (but only 4 preamps) It is helpful though that they at least put what's on the back labeled on the top of the casing It comes with Digital Signal Processing mix effects. If you're a professional or looking for a high end preamp, you might want to consider these.

Amazing quality of sound
I am an upright bassist and this unit just works fantastically. The sound quality is really up there and I'm able to pick out the highs and lows easily. The one ding is for how difficult it was to get the software installed. I'm on a Mac and it just wasn't working, so I had to dig out my Windows computer to install it.

Built like a tank, but sounds much better
This is a solid 4-channel, 24-bit/192 kHz USB 2.0 audio interface with bright, clean, low-noise sound. Includes all the usual I/O, the ones on the rear thoughtfully printed on top rear of the chassis. On the front you get Yamaha D-Pre mic preamps, XLR/Hi-Z, etc., six inputs at a time, or 4 mics. Phantom power switches are on the back, which switches on in pairs - channels 1/2 or 3/4. You also get low-latency hardware monitoring, really handy when recording. And of course on the mic channels you get the option of turning on Rupert Neve transformers for an extra bit of clarity, warmth, and undefinable oomph to the sound. An easy-to-use software mixer is included, which lets you have a fader for controlling DAW signal. You also get control for the Yamaha reverb in the unit, plus some amp modeling, cue mixes, and some other features. All in all, an impressive-sounding package to add pro sound to your recordings.
