Very Pleased and surprised
I was a bit leery about using a "tool-less" design for an Ethernet jack, but I decided to give these a shot. As of this review I have used 10 of them on my home network and I have experienced no bad effects. When checking ping times and file transfers between computers when connected with these inline or direct factory cables (both cat 5e) I saw no reduction in either metric.I am using these in my home network to connect long runs to a keystone box then to a switch and at various end boxes around my house and they are working without and issue.I am very pleased with these and I would recommend them to anyone who doesn't want to deal with crimping cables. They come with instructions on how to connect up twisted pair, straight, and even regular cat 5.Just my Thoughts,AK

No punch down tool needed
You still basically need something to push the wires down into the device so they stay there when you put the "toolless" lid on the jack, but for home users this is fantastic.

Would have given it a 5 if they included the instructions.
Looked like a great idea but there were no instructions included just two ways to setup. I went to Monoprice and found the following instructions which shows that the wires are first setup on the hinged piece and then seated to the bottom. Easy when you have the instructions.http://www.monoprice.com/manual/How%20to%20-%20tooless%20keystone.pdf

Didn't work
This just didn't work. I stripped the wires and placed them into the jack as indicated by the wiring color diagram. I pressed down on the plastic hinged cover to lock the wires in place. Some locked, some came out. Repeat. Never got all to seat properly and make a connection. Had to return the jack. I don't recommend at all.

RJ-45 Toolless Keystone Jack
Outstanding value. I saved 50% of the cost over local parts. The coupler design was as advertised and very easy to use. With no striping or punching of wiring, I had all cables built in minutes and tested with zero errors. They are perfect.

I do not recommend, either for beginner or pro
I have punched down alot of RJ45 jacks in my time as i work in IT and it is a necessity. As i get older, it does get more difficult to get everything in the correct orientation and punched successfully. i bought these because they sounded like they might be easier. They are not. it is nigh impossible to get all of the wires lined up, in order, and slid into the slots far enough to use the flap to punch them all down. With only two hands it was a huge struggle. I got frustrated and abandoned these and went back to a traditional jack with a normal punch down arrangement. Fortunately, i had some old ones lying around that i just reused. Since this is for my home network, and not a commercial or business use case, it will be fine.Since i opened all six to mount in the wall box i purchased, i will be unable to return these. Since they are so cheap i will just chuck them in the box and probably forget about them.Buy quality punchdown keystone jacks. They are well worth the money.

Requires patience, but it works!
First time working with Rj45 connections; the first attempt got no internet connection. Realized the issue was 2 out of 8 cables only made it halfway in the slots.Pulled all of them out, and this time instead of leaving the plastic cover/hinge attached, I removed it. I would place the cable over the slot (not inside) all way until it's out of the slot on the other side. Then I would push the hinges of the plastic where it's supposed to go (basically should be above where the cable is coming out), lock the hinges and press down on the plastic so it would push the cable in and lock it in. Then you remove the plastic cover again (snap it out), and repeat the process for the next cable. Just make sure each time before pressing, the cable is coming out on the other side. My speeds are back at 1000mbps (before they were capped at 100mbps with the old cat5e keystone)

Five Stars
Easy to use, truly toolless. Instructions are easily found on the Monoprice website. Works great.

Good alternative if you don't own a punch down tool
Easy to use, you don't need a punch down tool. Worked for years now.I admit the punch down keystones I used feel more permanent and solid so I would probably stick with the punch down method but this one seems to be a good alternative for people who only need to install one or two jacks.

Bueno
Creo que está bien, pero para ser toolless tiene un mal diseño, funcionó bien con la herramienta de impacto

Caution! Website not clear on what you are ordering!!
I thought I was ordering a 2 connectors package as it showed 2 ,3 5 & 10 piece packages. I ordered 2 piece kit and received 1 only. $ 15.00 is crazy expensive for 1 cat5 connector.

Good product. Documentation is somewhat iffy

good jack, colours don't match
great little jack, but keep in mind the colours on the jack don't match with the colours of the wires. If you follow the instructions on the monoprice website, it installs very quickly and easily.
