The electronic scale came with the 4 batteries needed. Was easy to set up. Placed clear bowl on scale. Has a tare button to zero out the bowl weight and the weight of the paper towel I placed in it to keep the eggs from rolling. For under $13, I am extremely pleased with set up, easy of use, batteries included, and easy cleaning up. While I wanted it to size chicken eggs by weight, it also works for other kitchen measurements in ounces.

I love this scale. I use it to weigh young kittens that I foster to make sure they are growing properly and to adjust feeding amounts and medications when they are sick. It works great, and I can switch between ounces and grams. I also have used it for baking because I love to weigh the ingredients to avoid having to clean a bunch of measuring cups. I think weighing ingredients is easier and more efficient, and I think that the quality of my baked goods is more consistent when I weigh everything out.

Bought this scale two months ago today, have been using it every day to weigh my food to make sure I was getting correct portion sizes. It's been very helpful keeping track what I eat, and is accurate. Was easy enough to set up(it was obvious) though the instructions wouldn't have been any help due to very bad translation. Tested the weight with objects like quarters and they were all exact to the gram. Very nice for the price, and using it 2-3x a day for two months I still haven't had to change the batteries. Definitely worth the money, would recommend it to friends.UPDATE: It is now January 20, 2015, nearly two years from the time of writing this review, and the scale is still working great and completely accurate! Also, after all this time, I still have never had to change the batteries, and I use it multiple times every day!

I started a new weight loss program a few weeks ago that requires a certain amount of protein and veggies each day, and so far, this little scale has really helped me stay on track. It comes with a detached plastic bowl, which is very convenient and easy to wash. The scale itself is a good size as it's large enough to fit a variety of foods and small enough that it doesn't take up too much counter space. It reads in both ounces and in grams, which appear accurate. My only critique though is that the switch to change it from ounces to grams (and vice versa) is on the bottom, which can be inconvenient. This function would be much better if located on the top with the other buttons. Overall though this is a good inexpensive choice.

I couldn't be more pleased with my new scale... Its MUCH bigger then I expected which is sweet... The bowl has a pour spout and is actually quite roomy being I could place my whole open hand in it no problem... It's easy to use... Comes with batteries... Has an option of either grams or ouces via a switch on the bottom of unit... This helps me measure my food portions perfectly and the price is fantastic!!!! I'm so happy I chose this scale after looking at what seemed like hundreds!!!!! Now if it helps me lose weight as intended... I'll be even MORE impressed!!!! ;-) lol... I highly recommend... I read reviews of people complaining its not dishwasher safe... I giggled... It's one fricken bowl people... Big deal... I HAPPILY hand wash mine... Knowing I got a GREAT deal on a cute scale... Worth 5 stars plus some...

I decided to buy this kitchen scale because I like to bake and since it really is all about science and exact measurements I wanted to see if there was a difference in my baking. I feel using this scale has made a big difference in the outcome of my baked goods. Measuring weight in flour for example is different than if measuring by cups. Batteries are included which is a big plus. It also has a great element called the Tare feature. It subtracts the weight of an empty tray or a container that has ingredients already in the bowl.

Purchased this to weight foster kitty babies. The thick glass bowl comes off to wash. It's big enough for them to sit with room. My wife weighs all 3 of them and says it's easy to use and with bowl being big. When we are done we wash the bowl out and it fits upside-down on the scale and is small and compact for storage. I thunk we got a good product at a good price. We are happy with it.

I have purchased this scale twice, that shows how great the item is. I love the simplicity of the scale, On/Off and Tare the weight. The con, and its a major con, is the scale has lasted maybe 3 months each, I've had 3 of these scales already, bought 2 and had 1 replaced through the warranty. The 3rd one is having the issue that the previous 2 have had and I think it is time to find a different scale.The issue is that the scale stops being accurate, it will give you different measures if the same item is placed slightly on a different location of the surface. The scale will also continuously drop the reading, it will go from initial reading downwards and it does not stop, it will go to the negatives if given enough time.Great product, very simple, lasts maybe 2-3 months.
