Mini Digital Alarm Clock for Travel

This little clock works perfectly as a bedside clock! The buttons and LCD display are quite large for such a small clock. Setting the time and alarm are perfectly straight-forward. The sound it makes is what you'd expect from this type of clock. It does drift slightly, but not more than 5 minutes per 30 days, which is tolerable. The only gripe I have is the alarm function is of the always-off variety, meaning that you have to set it MANUALLY, EVERY TIME.

I got a standalone alarm because I need to get up early, and I was worried about not my watch alarm letting me doze off. I chose this one in particular for its "warm" light - I really didn't want an alarm with a blue light, which seems to be quite commonplace, because of all the research suggesting that blue light interferes with sleep. As you can see from the photo, it is a very golden light, which I like a lot. The alarm is very loud - there's no chance of me sleeping through this. That's a big positive, because it allows me to sleep better, without worrying that I will sleep through it. How could it be improved? The light could be a little less bright: you don't need it that bright in the dark. You could probably also have an off button that didn't require you to turn the alarm itself off: it's either snooze, in which case it buzzes again in a few minutes, or off, in which case you have to turn it back on the next night. However, I suppose that is what alarms are like, outside of the kind of customisability and control than a smartphone alarm gives you. Having just written this, I think I will turning the alarm off and on each morning, which should have the effect of resetting the alarm for the next day. In short, I am happy with this alarm and, with hindsight, would have made the same choice. I recommend it.

Compact. Easy to set up and easy for my almost 10 year old to use so I don’t have to nudge her awake on the morning. We used to have a different alarm clock (not same brand) but it was so ridiculously loud that it scared her. Like this alarm because the initial sound is good enough to wake her up and will gradually get louder if you don’t turn off or hit the snooze. Great for my kid because she will get up to turn it off to avoid it getting progressively louder. Win!

Some of the bad reviews on here are simply because people didn't read the product info before buying. It's a cheap clock with limited features, but gets the job done. Pros: - Small, lightweight, and cute color. Perfect for traveling - Alarm is loud and gets gradually louder as time goes on - Instructions made the product easy to set up Cons: - The colon in the time display never stops blinking!!! I am only docking 1 star but it drives me nuts and I would not have bought the product had I known.

I bought this clock as a way to get my 5 year old daughter up to independently go potty during the middle of the night and to wake up for school. This clock is cheap and does what it's supposed to, meaning the alarm goes off. The alarm starts out beeping 3-5x once every second, then transitions to 2 beeps for the same amount of time, then transitions into what sounds like a metal detector when it finds metal. BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP... It's loud enough that I can hear it in my bedroom on the other side of the house if my fan isn't on, so I know she can hear it when it's 10 feet away from her. From start to finish, the alarm lasts about 15-20 seconds. If you've guessed it, the alarm shuts off by itself. This is frustrating because my daughter has figured out that she doesn't need to physically turn the alarm off; she will just lay in bed until it shuts off and goes back to sleep without getting her half asleep self out of bed to use the potty. But if you want to turn it off yourself, you have to press and hold either the "H" or "W" until it turns off. If my daughter actually gets up to turn off the alarm, she forgets this and keeps pressing on the button. You can't see the time at night unless you press the snooze button in the middle, and that light only lasts a few seconds. If I need to reset the alarm (in the dark), I have to constantly press the snooze button to see what's on the screen. Bottom line, waste of money for us and will return for an alarm clock that doesn't turn itself off. *****Update 7/13/21***** A representative from the ReacherDirect customer service department reached out to me and offered to send me a completely different clock 100% free of charge. The representative was super friendly and helpful and that clock arrived within a couple of days. This new clock https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08TM8MQ9G works very well! It has 2 different alarms, 1 for the week and 1 for the weekend. The alarm sounds are wonderful too. My 5 year old even likes to fall asleep to one of the sounds. Bottom line, this is a great company to order from. They truly care about customer satisfaction and will rectify a situation of poor customer satisfaction. I switched my initial rating of 3 stars to now 5 stars to reflect my overall customer satisfaction.

These are great alarm clocks- I ordered two for my kids, mainly for them to see the time when they wake up in the morning. But, they love these little clocks so much that they also use them at their work stations for distance learning, and they have find a bunch of other ways to use them. These clocks are very light weight and battery powered so it's easy to move them around if need be. They're easy to set and I like the light feature that automatically turns off. So glad I bought these!

I wanted a very basic alarm clock that is small, travel-friendly, and that can work as a backup for my phone. It does exactly that. It's easy to fiddle with in the dark -it has a backup light and large/simple buttons; my only complaint is that the backup light lasts a very short time so you have to re-press the button several times if you are in the dark and adjusting the time but I think I'll live :)

I like the color, I like the size for my bedside but I think it's too big to use for travel. It's easy to read, simple instructions and the orange back-light makes it easy to read the time in the dark. I gave only 3 stars because to turn on the back-light you push the Snooze button on the top of the clock, and when you do, it makes a loud "click". Loud enough to wake my husband. Guess I'll have to put this one in a different bedroom.
