Liberon GCCOM30 30ml Gilt Cream Compiegne

This stuff is brilliant, bought to give a golden gleam to some beading on an upcycled glass cabinet and it really looks amazing as if the beading were made of gold- almost a foiling effect.High sheen opaque satin textured paste, it goes on simply with a small brush or cloth, left to set/cure for 24 hours then buffed to a shine or left satin/Demi matte it is fab.A tiny bit goes a long long way so it is really good value for money.My local artisan paint shop has tutorials for using to get golden glaze on decorative pots/plant pots and pine cones for seasonal decor so there's plenty more uses.For what it's worth don't try diluting or mixing with a clear wax to get a 'wash' effect as it doesn't blend and will look grotty and grubby rather than shiny (tested on scrap before to reduce risk of ruining piece!)

I used this on some repaired (with Plaster of Paris) moulding on a picture frame. Mixing Compiegne with other Liberon Gilt Creams, I was able to get a very good match with the rest of the exixting moulding. I was surprised at how easy it was to apply and then 'distress' it slightly to disguise the repair.
