Softball People, Buy this!
If you are looking to keep an eye on your team and see how everyone is doing, this is the one. Plenty of room for all of your players, directions are super easy to follow. I'm still learning as I go but this has been a great tool to understand the game.THIS IS FOR SOFTBALL NOT BASEBALL!

Great ๐๐ผ
I ordered this expecting to be the size of a business notepad...it is not! It's huge! Make sure you check the measurements before purchasing. When it arrived, I laughed at the size but I decided to keep it. It's a great pad and I'm ok with using it during games, even if I do look a bit ridiculous.

Lots of room to write.
I like the fact itโs large enough to fill out.

Great for Team Stats
I keep stats for our fastpitch softball team and find this book very easy to read and keep stats with poorer vision. Of all of the stats books that I have tried this one is very user friendly and the squares are big enough to track where the ball was hit.

It's so Big!
If there is anything I've been learning about online shopping its to read the product details. This book is so big!! If you're looking for a score book you can just have on your standard clipboard - this isn't the one for you! Again It's HUGE! I can bend it in 1/2 and it's the right size. If you like em ginormous and easy to read/use this is the scorebook for you!!!

Best bet if you need a lot of batters; little else about which to be excited.
This is a decent scorebook. It's not spectacular, but it does certain things reasonably well. It's principal benefit is the number of batters: it gives seventeen batting slots, with two substitute lines for each. In a softball or rec league where you can bat more than 9 or 10 and may have a lot of substitutions, the extra space is a significant benefit. The boxes for each play are, generally speaking, large enough to use effectively. Each box has a set of pre-written play outcomes for the scorer to circle. Some people like that. I tend to think they simply get in the way, leaving not quite enough room to score non-default outcomes like errors and fielder's choices. There is also not a labeled RBI space, just a blank circle in the lower right-hand corner of each box: is that for outs, or RBIs? Any given scorer could use it for either, but without more someone filling in for the regular scorekeeper or looking at the book afterwards will have a hard time figuring out the system.Another limitation is that there are only nine innings. For what this book is good for, rec-league softball, that should be fine: even if a team takes up three columns in a couple of innings, it will likely run-rule the other team before you would need to go past the 9th. But what if both teams hit like that in a single game? Then your six- or seven-inning game could easily run out of space. I have yet to see that, however; so the nine-inning format should suffice. Finally, a final gripe about the layout: the book has a generally quite good stats column on the right side of the page. But its columns run thus: "AB, Runs, Hits, etc." I have never seen "runs" sandwiched in between "at bats" and "hits" like that. It made entering and tabulating the batting data substantially more difficult than it needed to be.Finally, the reviewers who complain about the spirals are correct: the rings are a bit too small for the pages to turn without catching (or to stick a pencil in). As the season wears on the tops of the pages get fouled where they turn. It is also too big to fit into many bags. It doesn't flop, and it's easy to see and read, but be prepared to have to carry it around by hand.
