The FAA now suggests that all commercial drone operators wear these vests, hoping to improve public perception of drone operators.So I looked around at a LOT of vests and chose this. I like the professional look, and absence of various amateurish looking images of drones on the vest. I also prefer “Do Not Disturb” over cautions like “Warning” or “Stand Clear”. If someone isn’t happy about your drone operation, those warnings aren’t going to help anything.This vest looks great. After a thorough inspection, I see no flaws in craftsmanship. Materials seem of good quality all around. The reflective material is very good quality and effective. The piping, lettering, and reflective stripes (obviously) are all highly reflective with a camera flash, flashlight, or headlights. There are and pockets behind the lower pockets, and the upper right (wearer’s right) pocket is well designed. Stitching seems to have been skillfully done. I’m rather picky with stuff like this, and I really like this vest. Highly recommended.

Great vest. Very visible. Apologies for no back picture, will try and update with one. We have had this for a few months and my hubs enjoys it very much. We volunteer for CERT UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems aka Search and Rescue Drones). He is an FAA pilot, this is perfect to ensure unwanted people DO NOT come bother you.Handsome man pictured here is about 6'1", 175lbs and keeps getting better with age. . Wait... sorry for that last tidbit, I was crushing on my hubby. Anyway, we ordered a size Large (pictured) and it works great. Any smaller and he wouldn't be able to comfortably wear it over a jacket or hooded sweatshirt, if needed. Quality is exactly as expected: durable and lightweight. The lettering on the back is VERY easily read. The pockets in front are good for having and license or similar identification you may need (Pink scribbles are hiding his personal info - not part of the vest). Good price, good investment.

This vest fit me perfectly. It's highly visible and the stripes are highly reflective. I now wear this vest every time I'm conducting both recreational and commercial drone flights, and it's kept curious onlookers away because I look authoritative and like I'm working. Before this, I'd always get at least one person asking me the three typical questions: 1) How far does it fly. 2) How much does it cost? 3) Does it have a camera?

This high quality vest is designed to make you stand out with vibrant colors, while also isolating you with a stern but polite warning printed on the back.For safety, it is imperative that one be able to be seen in order to be properly avoided - the very reason why traffic cones and road workers sport bold colors. This vest achieves the goal, so safety level is rated 5/5.The real value comes from the warning on the back, which truly serves many purposes. Everyone will know that you are a drone pilot. Moreover, they will know that you have completed the required online training modules and printed out your license, so it’s not your first rodeo.The chief complaint of drone pilots everywhere is the attention garnered by maidens (or beaus) in a frenzy to land themselves a pilot to settle down with. As an FAA licensed drone pilot, this popularity will be enhanced, which could be problematic when flying. To combat this, the “do not disturb” warning is excellent for turning away the hoard of paparazzi-like fans that will undoubtedly assemble in the vicinity of your operation. For this reason, value is rated 6/5.

How do you let this leave misspelled??? I am returning, but am very disappointed!!!

I have owned this for about three months now, using it at least 50 hours a week. For the most part, this vest is decent and performs as a vest should. I have included a photo with this review, and circled some things in red that I have had issues with. The shoulder seam where the reflective lines meet is not even, and to me this isn’t a big problem, but more of an observation.Towards the bottom/belly area of this vest I have had problems with the stitching not holding up. The reflective surface is coming loose, and I will need to mend it to keep it from tearing off completely . The Velcro on the clear ID pocket came off of the flap after roughly one week, so I had to sew in another piece to keep it closed as designed.I like the idea of the pen pocket, but feel like it’s not quite log enough- my pen and highlighter just barely fit deep enough for the clips to hold on to anything.Upon viewing the image you may notice that I have sewn in some loops across the shoulder area, where most vests have these already, this one did not. I use them to hang the microphone for my radio, as well as a small flashlight (as I work primarily third shift.)

I bought this for two reasons: 1. So people can stop bothering me when I truly need to pay attention to what I'm doing. 2. To look professional. Drones are fascinating but whether you're just flying to get some great pictures to build your portfolio or doing an actual job, you always get that one person who wants to ask a ton of questions. For me... the vest helps people to understand that I really need to focus without being rude about it. The vests look great in person as they do in the photos. Having multiple pockets is a huge plus for me. I just store extra batteries in there or any notes that I've taken prior to flying as well. If you're considering the vest... I recommend that you grab one!

Good quality and fitThis fast has been a great investment. It fits me perfectly and has a couple of big pockets for a little log book that I carry and plenty of places to put my pens and sunglasses. The zipper, pockets and stitching are all quality made and stitched. I would definitely buy it again. I also have gotten some thumbs up and good comments from the FAA certified drone pilot message on the back. LolIf you’re a drone pilot and you fly for a living or just a gig, having one of these vests is a great investment. Everyone around you takes you more seriously when you wear this vest and you don’t have to answer questions or deal with people as much because they know that you’re working, even if they are curious about your drone.

Quality is good and looks as it does on the picture. Fits good as well.
