These towels are AMAZING! I absolutely love them and will continue to buy Amazon Basics towels from now on! I read through the reviews trying to decide whether to buy these or not. I saw all of the posts about the extra lint and “pieces” of towel in the washer. Thanks to the positive reviews, I went ahead and decided to go with them to try them out. I wash my towels separate from my other laundry. I usually add some vinegar in with the load to help sanitize and soften the fabric. It’s also supposed to help draw out that dye that would bleed otherwise. I washed these towels as soon as they came in. Yes, I did have a lot of extra “lint” in my washer the first time I washed them. They haven’t been a problem afterwards. Yes, the dryer has a lot of lint after drying, but to me, that’s the sign of a good cotton towel. The towels still come out just as soft, fluffy, and thick as they were before! Great quality! So if you’re considering buying these towels, do it. Just remember to wash them by their selves if possible the first couple of times if you do have to combine your laundry together in the wash.

I am really pleased with the Amazon Basics jersey knit sheets that I have, so when we needed some towels I thought I would see if Amazon had some in their house brand. All of us (mom, husband and I) dislike hotel-style fluffy towels. We like ones that are a little bit scratchy- beach towels are better than plush towels. Plush towels aren't as absorbent and I always feel slimy after using them. These towels are kind of a strange hybrid. They are softer, but not super thick. They dry you off as well as a scratchy towel but they are softer to the touch. I bought 3 sets, so a total of 6 towels. Make sure you wash them and run them through the dryer before using them. The amount of dryer lint these created during their first wash was really impressive. Like a Tribble or something. The only minus is that the color options are kind of snooze-worthy. It isn't something I would deduct a star for, but I would much prefer some jewel tones instead of pastels. I don't buy towels too often, but if they came out with better colors, I would absolutely buy more. The size is perfect, they work well, and the price point is great.

These towels are inexpensive. It's important to set your expectations knowing that. The good: - Color. Can't speak to chemical bleaching since I don't wear cosmetics, but the color has held through several washes. I bought pink and it is a vibrant soft blush tone that I absolutely love. There are so many color choices. - Absorbency. It's not the best I've ever used, but it does a good job of drying skin and it doesn't stay wet for long when hung up. - Softness. It is very soft. Think baby toy fabric soft. - Lint. The first two washes left a large amount of lint on the dryer screen, which I expected. I have not had any problems with lint shedding since, not on my skin or in the dryer. Not good: - Thickness. These towels are fairly thin. They're plush enough to feel nice and I'm not ashamed to use them as guest towels, but if you're used to luxury you'll be disappointed. - Durability. After a few washes, there are noticable broken loops dangling. This may or may not be an indicator of overall durability. I've had towels last years and never break another loop, and I've had towels unravel. Bottom line: The stitching tells me these probably won't last more than a year or so, but at this price, I won't be too upset. Maybe I'll switch colors every year. Set your expectations appropriately for a low end towel and you should be suitably impressed with these.

These towels are perfect for me. What I have always wanted was a plush, ultra-soft generously-sized bath towel that is absorbent. It is also light enough to not suck up all the heat in the dryer with other towels. This is the ONE. Other people have mentioned the towel leaves a lot of fluff in the dryer filter. I only found that happened for the first wash. That's normal for any new towel. The color isn't fading from washing either. For me, this is the perfect towel.

Although they are very soft, so so with absorbing and decent quality they are NOT bath towels as described in title/heading! I searched bath towels and these popped up at a good price and was listed as bath towels! VERY disappointed to get 4 hand towels!! This listing is misleading. I didn’t go into detail of size when reading descriptions to order because a bath towel is a bath towel!! The pic I have included with my review is my dish towel on the left and the hand towel that I received!! It is much more slim and only a tad longer. Just so you have an idea of what size you’ll be getting! I will be returning these since I would never pay $20 for hand towels, I can get them at Ross for $6-8!! I gave it at least 3 star because had I needed hand towels these would great!

I had ordered these towels after searching for best quality/valued towels and was unsure of the quality of the towels after reading a few mixed reviews, but I absolutely love these towels! Yes, the lint trap filled up when I first washed them, but they are very comfortable, soft towels. They are on the thinner side, but I prefer that. They absorb fairly quickly and do not hold any moldy smell due to them drying in a reasonable amount of time. I purchased a different set of towels for our guest bathroom and I am bummed I did not buy these for it.

I read SO MANY towel reviews before purchasing these - judging by the reviews, all towels are an expensive sham that will probably kill you, so I figured I might as well just get something reasonably priced. I was surprised by the quality! These towel are very soft and very absorbent - they're just as nice as the fancy towel I purchased from a Bath Store, really. The color is rich, even after washing, and I have had no issues with shedding either before or after wash. I wish there were more colors, but that's my only complaint!
