For starters these things are heavy. The first time I used one of the forks to cut I was blown away with how much easier it was than with my old cheap set simply because of the weight and thickness. You can feel the sturdiness and quality just holding them. The style is simple, but nice enough to put out for a formal dinner. No nooks and crannies that are hard to clean or prone to tarnish. Very happy with the purchase.

I am very pleased with my new flatware, it is just as pictured and the quality is very nice. It is heavy as other reviews have stated. I really appreciated how quickly it arrived. I ordered it on a Thursday afternoon and received it 2 days later on Saturday afternoon even though it stated it would not be delivered until the following Wednesday.

These look very suitable for every day as well as for dinner parties. But they are extremely lightweight. I had hoped they would be a little heavier. But they were a great price and dishwasher safe. They do get a little spotty after you wash them, I recommend wiping them down right away to remove the spots

These are very well made, feel good in the hand. Very happy.

We loved the set so much that I went and bought another set, it worth every penny that you pay for. I am wondering why Mikasa has stopped making it. We are enjoying the shining silverware and the heavy construction.
