NoukaWhite Sesame Paste (16 ounce)

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I bought the Nouka White Sesame Paste to make Japanese Tantanmen Ramen. I combined this paste with Soy Sauce, white vinegar, mirin, Sichuan peppercorn oil and chili oil to make the final paste. The Nouka White Sesame Paste really adds a nice creamy peanutty taste to the overall dish. I really suggest using this paste instead of Tahini or peanut butter, for this dish, as the flavor profile will be different using those substitutes.

I ordered this for a spicy pork ramen dish that I was making. The flavor is great and my husband said that he could eat it just with rice. When I first got it, it was a big glob that I had to mix. After a day, the texture and consistency was perfect. Maybe it was just left in the cold outside and needed to get to room temperature. Great flavor!

Purchased this when someone recommended this as an alternative to tahini for better taste and it's so true! No bitterness, very fresh, great size and quality!

This sesame paste tastes best of all types in every dish I use it in (note: sesame paste is not tahini!). For some strange reason, grocers don't carry it (or I never see it), so I've ordered it through Amazon a few times. I suggest you try it.

This product was wrapped in plastic but the outside of the jar was a very greasy like some of the oils had leaked out. The product is self was very dry. I'm not sure I would purchase this again.

Like this a lot texture is fabulous and Product paste is very tasty I am satisfied and would recommend tjis for sure

I was afraid to use this because it obviously wasn't sealed correctly and when I opened the plastic wrapping it was shipped in, oil had leaked all over the outside of the jar. I tried to return it for an exchange & found out it was not eligible for for a return.

Mild taste that isn’t too chalky. Light and a bit thin.
