If the fitting has a green ring, it’s for ½ inch hose.

Pretty happy with the raindrip branded system. I have ordered several items in order to replace my existing and trying to use standard parts as much as possible (my house came with a mis-matched size system with lots of adapters). All these part appear to be as described and a working fine.

These elbows worked flawlessly with no leaks, sealing perfectly. My only issue, as with the tees, is that they are not reuseable. That ability would make them perfect!

This system is easy to set-up, has lots of options and, together with a timer, makes keeping your potted plants watered a breeze.

I bought one of these elbows to work with our Miracle Gro Soaker Hose Kit as Swan Hose (the company that produces the Miracle Grow soaker system) does not offer elbows (they have T connectors only). It took a while to actually determine what the rating was for the Miracle Gro hose (which is listed as 3/8"... an uncommon hose connector size apparently); eventually I found on Swan's website a helpful reviewer noted it was .620 OD. That matches these Raindrip compression elbows. The 3/8" soaker hose fits snuggly into the elbow and catches (i.e. can't easily pull it out). However, even with a 25 PSI pressure reducer the elbow leaks. I also have 1/2" drip line, but don't see how that would actually work with this elbow as I couldn't physically insert the 1/2" hose. So this seems like it is designed to work with 3/8", not 1/2" hose... but for the 3/8" soaker hose its just not "compressing" enough to seal the deal.

There's a kink between dishwasher outlet and garbage disposal. I cut the tubing where the kink was located and put this elbow in its place. I did saw off the green rings so gunk wouldn't accumulate. It's doing its job. So far no more backups, overflow!
