Demeter Demeter Petrichor - 4 Oz Cologne Spray, 4 Ounce

This was an impulse buy and is now my new favorite to go to every day perfume. Love petrichor! Smells so natural and clean! Love love love!

You won't get into legal trouble wearing this stuff. It smells rich like a blend of pipe tobacco. Your friends will never guess what it is, until you show them the bottle. Then they will want to get their own!

I was hopeful that the other reviews I read were incorrect or just disgruntled shoppers. I have purchased other perfumes from this company and have never had an issue. This particular one does not match the The note profile in the description as advertised. It smells of bubblegum with a heavy front note of rubbing alcohol. Worst of all I can’t return it.. I have major regrets about purchasing this awful product.

It is a good, non-specific, subtle scent, in the tradition of Dirt (and unlike New Zealand, which is a smack across the nose that lingers for days). If you really spray a lot into the air, you can just catch a hint of cannabis for about 2 seconds, then it is gone. I should have known better when I read Demeter's own website, where they described cannabis as a single plant where you use the stems for hemp and smoke the leaves. (sigh) I like the scent enough to continue to use this bottle, but won't be purchasing any more.

I like it. It's not an exact match but I'm not sure how you would get an exact match. It does have similar tones.

Purchasing a perfume or cologne online is a 50/50 chance of getting a fragrance you like. This one is okay, more of a neutral rain smell. I wouldn't say that it is a true petrichor since I think it lacks more of the earthy smell (think wood, moss, dirt) but it does have a bit of a water/rain note. It is okay and I will use this mostly in the summertime but I won't repurchase only because it is not what I was looking for. Fragrance seems to last about 5 - 6 hours.

The roll-on is delightful. When you spray this, it's pungent and does not smell the same. Not a big fan. It does last long, though.

The low score scared me initially, but I really enjoy this smell. I don't really have the vocabulary to describe scents, but I'll say that the scent is not *entirely* that of petrichor, as it has a bit of sweetness to it. It's a cozy scent, like one an owner might spray an Air BnB with before people rent the place. it doesn't last, however, and I don't use it as a body scent,so YMMV. i recommended it.

Por supuesto que un no huele a Pretichor… y sin embargo tiene un aroma sumamente peculiar… si, es un aroma casi sintético pero tiene algo que le caracteriza. Es algo ácido y recuerda un poco al olor de limas muy intensas… solo al final y muy al final tiene un pequeño y muy lejano olor a algo húmedo, pero muy difícilmente es tierra mojada… no es posible usarse… pero puede ambientar bien un regaderazo

L'ho presa con l'idea del petricore neutro perché sono allergico ai classici profumi industriali, tanto che non se ne salva uno. Infatti non si è salvato nemmeno questo, però l'odore è molto piacevole e sa di fresco. Magari non proprio di petricore però lo ricorda complessivamente

Don't wate your money. This absolutely does not smell like rain at all. Smells like a bad copy of Davidorf's Cool Water.

The product arrived used and clearly tampered with. It did not come with the cellophane wrap that any new perfume should have. Amazon does not allow returns for this item, which I understand… but the real issue is the terrible quality of the product. The perfume is advertised as having a wet-earth-after-rain scent, but in reality it smells like cheap caramel—nothing close to what was promised. Completely disappointed. I feel scammed by this low-quality product.

Ein sensationeller Duft. Habe mein Leben lang einiges genommen. Manchmal wird man ja sogar danach gefragt was man heute aufgetragen hat, weil es so gut riecht usw usf. Allerdings wurde und werde ich andauernd, zT mehrmals am Tag, von Leuten angesprochen was das für ein Duft das aktuell wohl wäre, weil er so gut riecht. Petrichor ist weitestgehend unbekannt. Wie soll man den Geruch auch beschreiben. Riecht wie die Strasse nachdem es im Sommer geregnet hat. Klar, erstmal sollte man es selbst mögen, und das tue ich nachdem ich es einmal ausprobiert habe weil ich den Geruch nicht kannte. Aber das man so häufig angesprochen wird, teilweise von völlig Fremden? Wem der Duft nichts sagt rate ich: Mal ausprobieren. Tolle, ungewöhnliche Sache. Und deutlich günstiger als die namhaften, bekannten Parfums und Rasierwässerchen.
