Zodiac 86021 Polypropylene Measuring Jug 0.5 L

Good quality with a clear volume scale.

(Full Review) I needed a large measuring jug for safely mixing chemicals in for garden use that was both stable and easy to lift (even with my shaky hands) that I could then pour into a 5L pressure sprayer. There is a 5L capacity jug of the same make (Zodiac) and style sold on Amazon and last time I checked it was only 1penny more than this one, however that may have been harder to lift and it's really simple to refill so this size is ideal. What I like about this 3L jug is it's taller rather than wider than many I saw. This means the weight of the liquid is more centralized making it Easy to Lift and Pour without the liquid being able to create waves at the slightest of tilts which could off balance the jug creating spills. Also the thickness of the material makes it very stable and reliable even when full. The handle is comfortable to hold, even for large hands such as mine, and positioned high up which also makes lifting seem lighter and more controlled. The other useful benefit for having a narrower opening is I can rest the large funnel on the top without the need to hold it freeing up both hands to hold the chemical bottles safely which is a must. A funnel isn't necessary but again shaky hands and chemicals aren't a good mix without abit of an assist. The measurements are shown in both Litres and Pints and are marked in red on one side making them clear to read, and also embossed on the opposite side which obviously will never rub or wear off. Very useful. Being food safe plastic you can use it for your kitchen needs and it is dishwasher safe. Not sure the red markings will survive the dishwasher but I've not tried. It can also be used in the garden, as i do, or a mechanics garage, amongst many other settings for example as it has a narrow spout for a controlled pour. Well built and hard wearing I can see this lasting a long time. Also unlikely to crack/split in hot or cold temperatures. Liked the quality and sturdiness of the jug itself but would have preferred the height of it to be slightly smaller and the width wider. I bought this to replace a previous one I'd had for many years, which I really liked. This one, as it's much taller, I have had to store in a different cupboard as it is too tall for the cupboard where I used to keep my previous one. (I have two other different sized similar jugs which I always stored inside one another but if I did this with the new one, it doesn't fit into my cupboard - it's not me just being picky!) I tried several sites to find a similar size to my old one but was unsuccessful. They all sold 2 litre jugs but I preferred the one from this firm.

Ideal for measuring water for mixing with garden chemicals. Much bigger and it would be too heavy when full. The measuring scale on the side of the jug are easy to read. Price is fair.

Pichet gradué reçu assez rapidement, cependant toutes les écritures se sont effacées au lavage. Lavage pourtant réalisé avec eau + éponge. Très déçu, j'ai contacté le service client qui m'a donc remboursé ma commande après envoi des preuves. Service client réactif et honnête.
