Overwhelming Odds Paperback – January 1, 2008

Loved the details and stories from the parents point of view. Lot's of tears shed at this story & it goes to show the importance of having faith in God along with having great people around you to help in times of trouble. Make sure you read his other books - "On Fire" and his new one, "In Awe"... John O'Leary is a difference maker and I can see where he got so many great tools from his parents. :-)

John O'Leary defied the odds in living after he was burned on 98%of his body. This courageous telling of his ordeal by his parentshelps us understand why. This is a testament to faith and to thehuman spirit. I recommend this to anyone who hasfelt held back by the odds in his or her life. O'Leary has gone ontoa successful adult life as a husband, father and wildly successfulmotivational speaker.

I had already read On Fire by John O’Leary when I discovered his mother had written this book. I though, eh, same story different perspective. How wrong could I have been? I couldn’t put this book down. The inspiration leaps off these pages and I must say I was a little misty-eyed when I finished.

After reading John O’Leary’s books and hearing his mother speak in his podcast I was compelled to read this book. It did not disappoint. A quick read full of faith and miracles.

I’m excited about reading this book. I’ve read both books by John O’Leary and I’m really looking forward to reading the story from his parents perspective. The free excerpt on line had me crying.

During this time in 2020 when life has been ever changing with the pandemic and riots , this book puts life back into perspective. The testimonies of faith are so encouraging.

Very interesting and I love stories about communities faith! I read John O'Leary's book first, ON FIRE, so I was really excited about reading the parents perspective of the whole indecent. I highly recommend both of these books "Overwelming Odds" and "On Fire"

This was an amazing book. I read this book after I read On Fire. I highly recommend reading both books. This book was written by John’s parents and On Fire was written by their son John.
