Perfect little dongle
This is a great little dongle! As you would expect with Anker, it's a well built and well performing product all at a reasonable price! It feels premium, having a nice little weight to it and being made from really good and solid materials. The casing is a hard plastic, with a lovely matt finish on the bottom and a satin finish on the top.The ports are very easy to use and very well positioned, also the indicator light is a rare feature that helps you know it's plugged in correctly.Cables are Anker's forte, and they've chosen a nice thick and durable cable with really good strain reliefs at either end. This is handy as the cable sits perfectly between flexible and rigid. The dongle comes with a soft protective pouch that stops scratching and keeps the cable tucked away too.I have read from SD and micro SD cards, accessed usb drives, programmed my Arduino, connected up a HDMI monitor and used a wifi adapter for pen-testing all without hitch.

A useful, basic hub for connecting to USB-C devices
This is a handy product, connects to a 1080p monitor as well as various USB peripherals and SD and MicroSD cards perfectly fine. Works in Windows, Mac OS and iPad OS without needing extra drivers. The only downside is it does not charge your computer as it has no power pass through and is not powered so it is limited by bus power. This means you will have to find another way to charge your computer (but fine if your computer has a separate charging port or another USB-C port). But just something to watch out for on a 12" MacBook or an iPad Pro, for example. Secondly power draw cannot be too high and I have had some hard drives abruptly disconnect during intensive transfers presumably because the power drain was too high. But for light use, travelling, etc, it's pretty good. Feels very high quality and will stand the test of the time, comes with a little pouch too.

Fantastic adapter
This is a fantastic product. Small, simple to use. I use it with my Dell XPS slimline laptop that has only USB-C outlets. Plug it into a USB-C port and you instantly have USB 2 sockets, an SD card and an SD micro card reader, and .. most importantly ... a HDMI socket. So easy to show your laptop display on a TV. Brilliant. It even has a neat cloth carry case - that isn't black! Heaven. I paid, in November 2022, nearly double the current price yet still consider it a terrific buy.

USB C Hub
Very good, lightweight and compact. Works really well for split screens and sd cards. Item does get very hot when on long term use but has no effect to the use of this attachment. Only issue I have had is I cannot run my Apple DVD player from the USB 3 port due to it coming up with an error message about require external power supply. When use directly in to my one iMac or MacBook works absolutely fine. Only issue that has been encountered, otherwise great add on, especially for travelling.

Faultless little performer
I wish I had bought this first - 'Buy cheap, buy twice' is so true. This is a faultless device with no niggles others had which I bought first. It runs cool, runs fast, does not eject itself or things connected to it (other manufacturers kit did this unexpectedly and without warning). It comes with a neat carry pouch to stop it scratching / getting scratched and also has a 15cm long cable so it can be tucked behind the laptop. Have had several Anker products before and none disappoint. It has everything you'd need in one unit so leaving what may be your only other c-type socket for power. I have had this plugged in to my MacBook M1 Air over multiple lid shut and wake events, USB sticks remain accessible, no random ejects (then having to run first aid on them!). Brilliant.

Great, compact, solid build
Brought this for my Windows 10 Huawei Matebook 13 that only has two usb-c ports. All the basic features work well:- connects by HDMI to my 1080p HP Monitor with sound- full size and micro SD card works well, not the fastest transfer speeds but still good- USB-A keyboard connects fine- tried using my older (5 year old) hard drives with that need to connect to two USB-A ports to power it. Both iOmega, but one didn't work and needed more power coming through the adapter. USB memory sticks work fine.Overall, impressed with the solid build, covers all the essentials well and comes with a little fabric pouch to hold the adapter when travelling keeping the unit reasonably protected from stray dirt and dust. Appears durable but only time will tell!

Very useful
Great for the extra IO.Needed an SD and MicroSD port for moving and viewing images from cameras etc.Nice sturdy feel. Durable metal and plastic materials. Small enough that it doesn't look out of place.Very portable.Comes with a nice protective cover/bag thingy.

Great little dongle
If you’re someone like me who likes to plug things into their computer, than this hub is for you. I have seen a lot of 5 star reviews on this hub and was curious wether or not I should buy it as I have been searching for a reliable USB-C hub for a few months now. I normally only buy from Apple as I own a MacBook Air and have heard that no-name brands can damage your computers, but can they? I finally came across a ‘good’ hub; this one, but I had never heard of Anker before, but this one had lots of hype so I had to get it for myself to see what the hype was about. Here’s a breakdown of my review:- 2x USB-A ports: I tested both ports by using memory sticks; works great. Don’t charge devices with it as it doesn’t support it. Transfer speeds of 5GB/s.- 1x HDMI: I tested it using my TV. Has very slight delay; works well. Great resolution. Runs at 30FPS.- 1x SD Card Reader: Works well. Fast transfer speeds.- 1x microSD Card Reader: Upside down; works well.Durability: Hub is made of metal and is strong; doesn’t get fingerprints.Length: Easy to reach. Flexible rubber cable. Ports are nice and spaced out.Temperature: Only starts to get warm after a long period of all ports in use while MacBook is running. HDMI gets warm after 30-60 minutes of use on its own.Other: Unplug hub while not in use. Can get hot if for example, your MacBook runs a software update overnight. In the package:- 1x Anker USB-C Hub- 1x Carrying Case- 1x Guide / ManualConclusion:It’s a shame how you have to pay extra for ports and hubs as MacBooks and other computers have switched to USB-C and dropped all their ports, but you get your money worth when you buy this type of hub. Most pass through charging hubs don’t last long, same for Ethernet because they use consistent high data and energy so buy this one. Arrived quickly and carefully. 5 stars. Thanks for reading my review.Device type: MacBook Air 13"EDIT: The "tip" (USB-C connector) is beginning to become loose after 3 weeks of light use.

Best for Apple Macbook with M1 or M series Apple laptops
Very good experience - it is all rounder.Only draw back is it producing so much of heat but it is not causing anything. I believe all other products may also produces heat as it is connected with type c cable and does required power to operate.I have used it with Apple Macbook Air M1 to connect one hdmi led screen most of the time. Also I have used hdd and no problem with read/write speed. Also, one need to understand that it will drain your battery little faster because it requires the power to operate. And I feel lucky that it won’t affect any downgrade in terms of performance or battery.

Feels quality
I bought it because, at least at the time, it was one of few that were compatible with MacBook Air M1 when it comes to HDMI video. It works perfectly and has a solid quality feeling using it.

Eats up RAM when used with monitor
It does what it is supposed to do, but if we use monitor and an application like teams on the monitor, lot of RAM is consumed leading to noise and heating of macbook
