Mahle is the best oil filter for the S52
Mahle is the best oil filter for the S52. The paper jacket helps prevent media collapse, and it includes all the right bits you need for a complete oil change (including crush washers and long bolt gaskets). Amazon ships it quickly, for the same price as other suppliers. I just changed my oil with Rotella T5 and this filter and had no issues.

Just want I needed
Was just what I needed for my oil change on my E46 M3. Everything went well, fitment was good and seems to work just fine.

Best filter for the S54
Better than the OEM filter for cheaper than the dealer. Metal end caps and the cellulose mesh around the fins of the filter hold everything together nicely. Filter looks amazing when it comes out after an oil change. The pleats still look good and the metal caps are still clean. Pair with this with a good synthetic oil and you're set!

Favorite oil filter for the S54 motor
Just a bit smaller than the paper only filters, so it's easier to fit/change. Motor runs like a champ! Oil analysis is spot on.

Always have good luck with MAHLE products, and this one is no different. Don't skimp on your vehicles lubrication system, buy quality filters! I combine this with a high quality synthetic on my e36 m3 and do 5000 mile intervals. Fast delivery and cheaper than going to my local dealer.
