This works for knee and hip injuries too. Another important feature is the grip on the soles, that won't slip on wet or dry surfaces. This slipper top scores on both the criteria. If you have elderly folks prone to slipping, I would also suggest an excellent anti-slip tape from 3M that was hitherto unavailable in India - 3M Anti Skid Tape-Wet Review: Aditi chappals - Comfort and slipperness.
