It just works
Good product, so far (month already) and there were literally no issues with it. The only thing is if you won't use all 4 devices you will need to keep switching.

Good.. but expensive
Bought this to swap a Corsair K70 between my PC and work laptop. If you are planning on using it for something similar read on...Firstly I powered this via the micro USB and plugged into my PC & laptop. It worked fine, however once shut down if you happen to knock the switching button or have a powercut, the keyboard will light up even if all PCs are off! Only real solution to this is to save an "off" profile to the Corsair keyboard and make sure it's the last hardware profile selected. Bit of a pain if you don't plan powering off the switch at night.Next option I tried was unpowered. I used a USB ammeter to measure how much current the Corsair is trying to draw from the USB. A fully lit white light (worse case) + wireless mouse + switch draws 820mA, even from a USB2.0 port. That's too much to risk, especially from my laptop which does not have USB 3.0. Dimmer lights & other colours were a lot less.So last attempt was to plug 2 cables into the PC & laptop (port 1&3 in PC, 2&4 in laptop). This has kept the current at around 350mA max per USB port for fully lit keyboard if only one device is switched on, much less if both are on. This seems to be working well as it also means the switch is off at night. So, good product but has some issues:- Sometimes lights up keyboard if powered via power adapter & computers are off (doesn't turn off!)- You have to press the button 4 times to cycle around all the computers even if you only have 2 PCs attached. The solution above using 2 cables each solves this.- Button & attached wire are light & flimsy. Really not what I'd expect for something this price. So far it has worked well though.- Really needs to include a power adapter & cable at this price.- Too expensive compared to competitors products, 1 star deducted for this.

Works perfectly!
I have a dock station with multiple devices connected (2 monitors, usb camera, usb mic, speakers, printer, usb keyb/mouse receiver) and i have the need to share the dock station between 3 laptops. It worked like a charm, no missing devices, no unrecognized devices. Everything working great. A bit expensive than other options but a tried cheaper switches and always had problems. This one does the job as expected

Button extension is nice
Switching:There is no keyboard shortcut, but the switch button is connected to a thin cable that you can keep extended right in front of you, and keep the actual device hidden in the back. This might not be a big deal for some, but it is an extremely simple and efficient feature for aesthetics perspective if you don't like clutter in front of you. I was really hoping for a device with keyboard shortcut like there used to be for KVM switches, that still would be an awesome feature, but I'm not missing it to be honest.Technical concern:Secondly, I only have 2 devices connected right now, which means in order to switch back to the first devices I have to hit the switch button three times. This really bothered me. I assumed that the ports that don't have any computers connected to them should be deactivated, but they're not, they're active. My work around was to connect the rest of the two cables to the two computers as well. So now I have ports 1 and 3 connected to computer 1, and ports 2 and 4 connected to computer 2. Two more cables than I wanted, and I'm losing a USB port on the actual computer. But this gives me the flexibility to add another computer in the future.Support:Why did I buy StartTech.com device? Because a whole lot of other devices on Amazon are brandless, and there is no one to talk to. With StartTech.com you actually get a warranty (I forget how long, but at least a year), and best thing is I was able to chat to an actual person on their website in regards to the above technical issue. With all of that I figured the price was completely worth it.Quality:The device seems sturdy, the USB cables are strong. You don't get a charger or micro USB cable, but that is optional in case you are using a lot of power. A lot of devices nowadays are skipping charger and USB cable, which is kinda crappy, but whatever. For a simple keyboard and mouse switch you do not need to connect power. LED lights are bright, but if you don't like'm, slap electric tape on'em and you're good. The micro USB connection is in the front, I'm guessing they ran out of space in the back, I would've preferred it in the back.
