This is like LJ Shen level angst, but without the hotholes and gratuitous smex scenes. Like I wanna pull my hair out and scream 😱 level of angst. My gah these kids are stoopid. And I’m loving every heart wrenching moment 😈🥰hehe. Poor Futaba. Poor Kou. And poor everyone who is one-sidedly in love with them. Kou has some kind of misplaced feelings of responsibility towards Narumi since she helped him make his transition to his new school so easy and both went through the same terrible experience of watching a love one die a slow and painful death. None of that is easy for anyone, especially not a kid. But it’s not his job to look after her, especially since he knows she likes him. That’s just asking for trouble. But you gotta respect his loyalty, even if it’s totally misplaced. And Narumi is one conniving little girl. I get it tho, Kou is awesome and I want him all to myself too. But that last scene in chapter 22, where Kou looks directly at Futaba as she calls out to him and he still pulls Narumi into his arms. Gah, talk about a sucker punch to the heart. He knows in his heart who he wants, it’s clear as day to everyone. And he even knows that he’s being played with, but still decides to break everyone’s heart. Gah, now I have to wait for volume 7 just so I can rant and rave all over again!!! I’m a middle aged mom and this is making my blood pressure go through the roof, lol 😂.

Kou, what the hell, man? Why??? Why would you do all that? What are you thinking??? Gah! Hey man, it's time to figure out what you are after. It's time to make a choice. Fish or cut bait, fish or cut bait. You can't keep hurting Futaba! And your "friend" knows EXACTLY what she's doing. She's playing you, man. She wants you bad, & will do anything she has to, in order to get you. Even if it means destroying Futaba in the process. And you are letting her blindly lead you along, like dangling a carrot in front of a donkey... and you know what the other name for donkey is! Gah! Ok. *breathe* ok. Anyways, as you all can see, I'm a bit riled up atm lol. This author! I hate her, but I love her! This story is SO good. If you like shojo, this truly is a great series. All the works by this mangaka are splendid, really. Art, so very good. Dialogue, excellent. So true-to-life. Characters, believable, likeable(mostly), admirable(mostly), relatable. And the new girl... ugh. Just an awful girl. Just simply dreadful.

Basically if you're anything like me, this volume will make you internally scream "WHAT THE WHAT" and gape like a fish. I did not see it coming. Like a book to the face, ugh. Don't buy it if you don't plan on reading the next one immediately!

I liked how the seller packaged it twice, so it came in very safe, and all the little freebies were so cute. I would buy from them again

I love this book series so much! I first found it through the anime “Ao Haru Ride” and wanted to finish it through the manga! 100% recommend this.
