Cree TRDL6-1602700FH50-12DE26-1-11 6" retrofit Downlight 150W Equivalent LED Light Bulb, Soft White

My electrician installed these in my kitchen to replace old incandescent can light bulbs. I like the color because they have the warmth of traditional incandescent lights. I have a dimmer on them and they look great and are quiet at any brightness (and they are super bright when fully on).After having these in my kitchen for a few months, I decided I wanted my hallway to be just as bright. I didn't want the hassle of calling my electrician out, so I looked on Amazon. It took me less than a minute to install each bulb, and now my hallway is just as bright as my kitchen. They are barely more complicated than replacing a light bulb.The alternative to this type of fixture is to replace just the bulb and keep the rest of the can fixture (specifically the trim). These have a cleaner look than the traditional-style bulb with the regular trim. They look flawless when they're off, unlike regular bulbs with trim where they might have uneven spacing between the bulb and the trim.I would recommend a dimmer with these because of how bright they are. Clearly I would purchase them again as I already have. I am very happy with this purchase.

I've had these installed for a few months now. First of all, OMG they are bright! I have a 12 foot ceiling and they still light up the area like we've got industrial floodlights on. Seriously, we generally keep the dimmer at about 75%. I have tried numerous brands of LED lights trying to avoid that dreaded flicker. I'll be honest. These do still flicker, but I found it's only at around the 50% point on the dimmer. Anywhere else and they are fine. Yes, I tried other dimmers and some are the same, some are worse and cause flickering all over the place. But, what I can say for these is they flicker the least of any brand I have tried.

Spent one hour trying to install. I wish they gave usual clamps that go into recess can instead of small clamps that never get hooked to recess can. It is 30 degrees here in Michigan and can imagine trying to stand to figure out the installation at 14 feet high on the porch. I tried using duct tape to install, tried using their web site video and was not the latest.. Just not happy

Bought these because I like things bright. 1600 Lumens at 2700°K. Replaced lights 1400 Lumens at 3000°K. Not noticeably brighter, but noticeably warmer in color. I had no problem fitting them into my cans - you do need to swing the spring strips out away from the bulb though. Finally, some reviews comment about an audible click when turning them on. I have noticed nothing of the sort. Very happy. Only question is long - term reliability. If they last the promised 45 years, I'll have someone else replace them as I'll be well over 100.

The light is a great fit and color

Easy to install and looks great. I docked 1 star because we notice that when you turn the lights on and off, there is a noticeable click. Might not seem like that big of a deal, but once I replace all 8 lights in the kitchen ceiling, it will be a bigger deal I'd imagine.

I tried three other retrofit lights for my shower and none fit. I was getting frustrated until the Cree Lighting TRDL6arrived. Not only was it super easy to install, it fit perfectly and the lighting is really nice compared to the original can light that came with the house. I especially liked that it didn't have those horrible spring clips to mess with.
