Oasis Drink Dispenser, 1.25 Gallon

Our refrigerator water spicket is very slow and this is the perfect size and shape to replace it without taking up too much room in the refrigerator. It constantly leaked from the spicket. My husband put plumber’s tape around the threads of the spicket and it quit completely. It is perfect now for our use. No plastic taste in the water.

I like this water dispenser. Comments made in reviews have easy remedies! Do not tighten the lid as it creates a vacuum and the water doesn't flow. Leave it loose. Any water dispenser will have this vacuum issue. Drilling a hole in the top cover is not necessary and is unsanitary. The container itself is thin compared to water bottle delivery companies. The price is right. I fill with drinking water refilled at water dispensers with my reuseable gallon jugs and then fill this unit. It never leaves my counter top. No issue with breakage. If you do take it to a water dispenser to fill, it will break as it is really not for this purpose. The spigot did drip slightly when I first filled it, as I was watching for this. Plumbers use plumbers tape for this reason. It is not a design flaw! I liked mine so much, I ordered another for my bathroom to dispense drinking water, too. I may buy another for the other end of my home for convienence.

I contacted the manufacturer directly instead of using the review process, which is where I am at now. It has a flaw when the two pieces are joined together; it was not aligned correctly. The top filling cap leaked when set on the side and the dispenser attachment leaked. Using a lot of Teflon tape, I stopped the dispenser from leaking, only to find that it also had a slow drip from the dispenser outlet. I replaced the dispenser with one I had from a unit I broke by accident, which solved that problem. I used the contact manufacturer option and got an automated reply. I simply spelled out my findings on what had gone wrong and suggested they simply replace the unit without sending the defective one back. Amazon sent a quick survey on how I did contacting the manufacturer. I replied to that, showing only the automated response. I am still within the return window and can take that option, but it does not fix the product. I am a wait-and-see at this point but still have the option to get my money back. l Let me add information and advice. The manufacturer never contacted me so it got boxed up and returned to Amazon using their return policy. I was sick of refilling my 1 gallon one constantly, so this was much better. I refilled it every 3 days and shook it a lot to mix drink mix, so it got a lot of use. Unfortunately, it only lasted 13 months before center seam started leaking. About 2 bucks a month. Unless I can find a sturdier one, I’ll probably buy again. People complaining about the spout leaking are unscrewing the top too much to let air in, so it flows. Just slightly loosen enough to get it flowing then tighten again, but not all the way. You want some air to be able to pass through, but not too much. You still need a little bit of a vacuum inside to stop any liquid from getting stuck in the spout and dripping out after the spout closed..

1st container we received was damaged on arrival. Returned it and reordered another which arrived in good shape in spite of being shipped in an Amazon shipping bag. This is a replacement for one we had which lasted for over 5 years. It is perfect for our needs.

Thought it was leaking at first but it turned out I needed to screw the spout on tighter. Now it works perfectly, no leaks. Fits perfectly in our fridge.

Great container. Fits good in the refrigerator

I bought this drink container because my family goes through 3 gallons of milk in a week. I thought this would be perfect to pour all the milk into and save some room in the fridge. It shipped fast and there didn't seem to be anything wrong upon arriving but once I Cleaned it and started filling, milk last leaking out the spicket. It's as if there was no rubber seal to put between the spicket and screw cap to be able to stop liquid from coming through. For now I have a make shift solution but will more than likely be finding another type of container.

This product is great to be able to have cold water available in the refrigerator. It is slim, not taking up much shelf width but is tall and fitted in nicely after adjusting refrigerator shelf height space. Easy and convenient cold water. Robust container, practical volume, large easy fill cap, easy grip handle and tap spigot works reliably (no drips).

Love it, nice colour, good shape for on the campers counter. The plastic is a little thin, so have to be careful not to crack it. Update: this lasted three camping seasons. Many, many uses. started to leak from the seam not the spigot. Will buy again.

Very disappointed by my water fridge dispenser. It gets air locks and doesn’t flow freely. Is so slow to fill a glass

It is leaking in several places. Need I say more.
